पहला पाठ : इब्रानियों के नाम पत्र 10:32-39

32) आप लोग उन बीते दिनों की याद करें, जब आप ज्योति मिलने के तुरन्त बाद, दुःखों के घोर संघर्ष का सामना करते हुए दृढ़ बने रहे।

33) आप लोगों में कुछ को सब के सामने अपमान और अत्याचार सहना पड़ा और कुछ इनके साथ पूरी सहानुभूति दिखलाते रहे।

34) जो बन्दी बनाये गये, आप लोग उनके कष्टों के सहभागी बने और जब आप लोगों की धन-सम्पत्ति जब्त की गयी, तो आपने यह सहर्ष स्वीकार किया; क्योंकि आप जानते थे कि इस से कहीं अधिक उत्तम और चिरस्थायी सम्पत्ति आपके पास विद्यमान है।

35) इसलिए आप लोग अपना भरोसा नहीं छोड़ें-इसका पुरस्कार महान् है।

36) आप लोगों को धैर्य की आवश्यकता है, जिससे ईश्वर की इच्छा पूरी करने के बाद आप को वह मिल जाये, जिसकी प्रतिज्ञा ईश्वर कर चुका है;

37) क्योंकि धर्मग्रन्थ यह कहता है - जो आने वाला है, वह थोड़े ही समय बाद आयेगा। वह देर नहीं करेगा।

38) मेरा धार्मिक भक्त अपने विश्वास के कारण जीवन प्राप्त करेगा; किन्तु यदि कोई पीछे हटेगा, तो मैं उस पर प्रसन्न नहीं होऊँगा।

39) हम उन लोगों में नहीं, जो हटने के कारण नष्ट हो जाते हैं, बल्कि हम उन लोगों में हैं, जो अपने विश्वास द्वारा जीवन प्राप्त करते हैं।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मारकुस का सुसमाचार 4:26-34

26) ईसा ने उन से कहा, ’’ईश्वर का राज्य उस मनुष्य के सदृश है, जो भूमि में बीज बोता है।

27) वह रात को सोने जाता और सुबह उठता है। बीज उगता है और बढ़ता जाता है हालाँकि उसे यह पता नहीं कि यह कैसे हो रहा है।

28) भूमि अपने आप फसल पैदा करती है- पहले अंकुर, फिर बाल और बाद में पूरा दाना।

29 फ़सल तैयार होते ही वह हँसिया चलाने लगता है, क्योंकि कटनी का समय आ गया है।’’

30) ईसा ने कहा, ’’हम ईश्वर के राज्य की तुलना किस से करें? हम किस दृष्टान्त द्वारा उसका निरूपण करें?

31) वह राई के दाने के सदृश है। मिट्टी में बोये जाते समय वह दुनिया भर का सब से छोटा दाना है;

32) परन्तु बाद में बढ़ते-बढ़ते वह सब पौधों से बड़ा हो जाता है और उस में इतनी बड़ी-बड़ी डालियाँ निकल आती हैं कि आकाश के पंछी उसकी छाया में बसेरा कर सकते हैं।

33) वह इस प्रकार के बहुत-से दृष्टान्तों द्वारा लोगों को उनकी समझ के अनुसार सुसमाचार सुनाते थे।

34) वह बिना दृष्टान्त के लोगों से कुछ नहीं कहते थे, लेकिन एकान्त में अपने शिष्यों को सब बातें समझाते थे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज प्रभु येसु दो दृष्टांतों के द्वारा हमें स्वर्ग के बारे में समझाते हैं। एक दृष्टांत बीज के बारे में है, जिसे बोने वाला बोता है और वह नहीं जनता कि वह कैसे पौधा बनकर बढ़ता है और अनाज उत्पन्न करता है लेकिन वह उसकी फसल ले लेता है। दूसरा दृष्टांत राई के दाने के बारे में है जो बहुत छोटा सा दाना होता है लेकिन जब वह उगता है तो बढ़कर बहुत बड़ा पौधा बन जाता है। एक छोटा सा राई का दाना बढ़कर इतना बड़ा पौधा कैसे बन जाता है? ये दोनों दृष्टांत ईश्वरीय राज्य के रहस्य एवं विशेषता को समझाते हैं। ईश्वर का राज्य कैसे फलता-फूलता है हम नहीं जानते लेकिन उसके प्रभाव को महसूस कर सकते हैं।

इन दृष्टांतों के आधार पर हम कह सकते हैं कि ईश्वर के राज्य की एक विशेषता यह है कि शुरू में वह बहुत मामूली सा प्रतीत होता है, लेकिन जब वह बढ़ना शुरू करता है तो फैल कर सब कुछ को अपने अन्दर समाहित कर लेता है। इसे हम अपने दिन-प्रतिदिन के जीवन में देख सकते हैं। उदाहरण के लिए सन्त मदर टेरेसा ने अपने सेवा-कार्य की छोटी सी शुरुआत एक छोटे से स्थान से की थी, और अब ग़रीबों, बीमारों एवं बेघरों की सेवा का वह मामूली सा कार्य इतना फैल गया है कि संसार के कई भागों में निरन्तर जारी है। ईश्वरीय राज्य के मूल्यों जैसे प्रेम, आनन्द, शान्ति, न्याय आदि की विशेषता भी ऐसी ही है। ये मामूली सी शुरुआत करते हैं और फैलकर सबको अपना बना लेते हैं। आइये हम ईश्वरीय राज्य एवं उसके मूल्यों को संसार के कोने-कोने में फैलाने के साधन बनें। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Today Jesus explains about the kingdom of God with the help of the two parables. One is about the seeds that are scattered and the sower does not know how it grows and bears fruit, but he reaps the harvest of it. Second is the mustard seed which is very tiny but it grows and becomes very big. How such a small tiny seed changes into a big plant? Both of the examples explain the mystical nature of God’s kingdom. How it grows, we do not know but we can see it’s effects and it’s fruits.

Based on these parables, we can say that one of the characteristics of God’s kingdom is that initially it seems very insignificant, but once it starts growing, it overtakes everything. We can see this happening in our daily life. For example Saint mother Theresa started her good work of serving the poor and the sick, in a very insignificant way in a small place. Her good work grew and spread over many parts of the world. Values of God’s kingdom like love, joy, peace, justice etc have the same nature. They begin in a very insignificant way and then overtake and spread very fast. Let us become the instruments to spread God’s Kingdom and its values to the ends of the world. Amen.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 10:19-25

19) भाइयो! ईसा का रक्त हमें निर्भय हो कर परमपावन मन्दिर-गर्भ में प्रवेश करने का आश्वासन देता है।

20) उन्होंने हमारे लिए एक नवीन तथा जीवन्त मार्ग खोल दिया, जो उनके शरीर-रूपी परदे से हो कर जाता है।

21) अब हमें एक महान् पुरोहित प्राप्त हैं, जो ईश्वर के घराने पर नियुक्त किये गये हैं।

22) इसलिए हम अपने हृदय को पाप के दोष से मुक्त कर और अपने शरीर को स्वच्छ जल से धो कर निष्कपट हृदय से तथा परिपूर्ण विश्वास के साथ ईश्वर के पास चलें।

23) हम अपने भरोसे का साक्ष्य देने में अटल एवं दृढ़ बने रहें, क्योंकि जिसने हमें वचन दिया है, वह सत्यप्रतिज्ञ है।

24) हमें इस बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि हम किस प्रकार भ्रातृप्रेम तथा परोपकार के लिए एक दूसरे को प्रोत्साहित कर सकते हैं,

25) हम भाइयों की सभा से अलग न रहें, जैसा कि कुछ लोग किया करते हैं, बल्कि हम एक दूसरे को ढारस बंधायें। जब आप उस दिन को निकट आते देख रहे हैं, तो ऐसा करना और भी आवश्यक हो जाता है।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 4:21-25

21) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "क्या लोग इसलिए दीपक जलाते हैं कि उसे पैमाने अथवा पलंग के नीचे रखें? क्या वे उसे दीवट पर नहीं रखते?

22) ऐसा कुछ भी छिपा हुआ नहीं है, जो प्रकट नहीं किया जायेगा और कुछ भी गुप्त नहीं है, जो प्रकाश में नहीं लाया जायेगा।

23) जिसके सुनने के कान हों, वह सुन ले!’

24) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "ध्यान से मेरी बात सुनो। जिस नाप से तुम नापते हो, उसी से तुम्हारे लिए भी नापा जायेगा और सच पूछो तो तुम्हें उस से भी अधिक दिया जायेगा;

25) क्योंकि जिसके पास कुछ है, उसी को और दिया जायेगा और जिसके पास कुछ नहीं है, उस से वह भी ले लिया जायेगा, जो उसके पास है।"

📚 मनन-चिंतन

दीपक का उद्देश्य दूसरों को प्रकाश प्रदान करना है। और यदि एक दीपक के प्रकाश का उपयोगी होना है तो उसे ऐसे स्थान पर रखना ज़रूरी है जहाँ से वह लोगों को दिखाई दे और बहुत से लोग उसके प्रकाश से लाभान्वित हो पाएँ। यदि एक दीपक को या उसके प्रकाश को छुपाकर रखा जाए तो वह व्यर्थ हो जाता है। हम भी दीपक हैं जो प्रभु के प्रेम की ज्योति से प्रज्वलित हैं और हमारे भले कार्य हमारा प्रकाश हैं। प्रभु चाहते हैं कि हम ऐसी जगह पर रखे जाएँ जहाँ से दूसरे लोग हमारे भले कार्यों को देख पाएँ और प्रभु की उसी ज्योति से प्रज्वलित हों और ईश्वर की महिमा करें।

जब हम प्रभु में बपतिस्मा ग्रहण करते हैं तो हमें जलती हुई मोमबत्ती दी जाती है, जिसका अर्थ है कि हम अपने बपतिस्मा के बाद उस जलती हुई मोमबत्ती के समान बन जाते हैं। यह जलती हुई मोमबत्ती ख्रिस्त की ज्योति से प्रकाशित होती है, क्योंकि वही संसार की ज्योति है। लेकिन कभी-कभी हम अपनी इस ज्योति को दीवट पर ना रखकर पलंग के नीचे रख देते हैं, जिससे धीरे-धीरे इसकी लौ धीमी पड़ जाती है, और उसका प्रकाश धुँधला पड़ जाता है। यदि हमारे अन्दर ख्रिस्त की ज्योति और उसका प्रकाश नहीं चमकता है तो हम सच्चे ख्रिस्तीय कैसे कहला सकते हैं? अगर हम इसका उपयोग नहीं करेंगे तो वह समाप्त हो जाएगा, हमसे ले लिया जाएगा।ईश्वर हमें चमकती ज्योति और प्रज्वलित अग्नि से भर दे ताकि हम उसके प्रेम और कृपाओं को दुनिया को दिखा सकें। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

The purpose of the lamp is to give light to others. And if a lamp has to give light to others, it should be placed in such a place from where it's light can be seen by many so that many may benefit from it. If you hide the lamp or its light, then it loses its meaning. We are the lamps, all of us who are enkindled by the fire of God's love and our good works are our light. We are called to place ourselves in such a place from where others can see our good works and be enkindled with the same fire, and give glory to God.

When we are baptised in the Lord, we are given a lighted candle, symbolising that we now become like the lighted candle after our baptism. This lighted candle receives its light from Christ himself, because he is the light of the world. But sometimes it happens that we hide this light of Christ under the bushel, and slowly it starts becoming dim and we lose the shine and light of it. If we have no shine and light within us then what is the meaning in being called baptised or Christian? If we don't use it, we will lose it. May God bless us with bright light and fire to show the world God’s love and graces. Amen.

संत तिमथी एवं तीतुस

पहला पाठ : 2 तिमथी 1:1-8

1) यह पत्र प्रिय पुत्र तिमथी के नाम पौलुस की ओर से है, जिसे ईश्वर ने इस बात का प्रचार करने के लिए ईसा मसीह का प्रेरित चुना है कि उसने हमें जीवन प्रदान करने की जो प्रतिज्ञा की थी, वह ईसा में पूरी हो गयी है।

2) पिता-परमेश्वर और हमारे प्रभु ईसा मसीह तुम्हें कृपा, दया तथा शान्ति प्रदान करें!

3) मैं अपने पूर्वजों की तरह शुद्ध अन्तःकरण से ईश्वर की सेवा करता हूँ और उसे धन्यवाद देता हुआ निरन्तर दिन-रात तुम्हें अपनी प्रार्थनाओं में याद करता हूँ।

4) जब मुझे तुम्हारे आँसुओं का स्मरण आता है, तो तुम से फिर मिलने की तीव्र अभिलाषा होती है, जिससे मेरा आनन्द परिपूर्ण हो जाये।

5) तब मुझे तुम्हारा निष्कपट विश्वास सहज ही याद आता है। वह विश्वास पहले तुम्हारी नानी लोइस तथा तुम्हारी माता यूनीके में विद्यमान था और मुझे विश्वास है, अब तुम में भी विद्यमान है।

6) मैं तुम से अनुरोध करता हूँ कि तुम ईश्वरीय वरदान की वह ज्वाला प्रज्वलित बनाये रखो, जो मेरे हाथों के आरोपण से तुम में विद्यमान है।

7) ईश्वर ने हमें भीरुता का नहीं, बल्कि सामर्थ्य, प्रेम तथा आत्मसंयम का मनोभाव प्रदान किया।

8) तुम न तो हमारे प्रभु का साक्ष्य देने में लज्जा अनुभव करो और न मुझ से, जो उनके लिए बन्दी हूँ, बल्कि ईश्वर के सामर्थ्य पर भरोसा रख कर तुम मेरे साथ सुसमाचार के लिए कष्ट सहते रहो।

सुसमाचार : लूकस 10:1-9

1) इसके बाद प्रभु ने अन्य बहत्तर शिष्य नियुक्त किये और जिस-जिस नगर और गाँव में वे स्वयं जाने वाले थे, वहाँ दो-दो करके उन्हें अपने आगे भेजा।

2) उन्होंने उन से कहा, "फ़सल तो बहुत है, परन्तु मज़दूर थोड़े हैं; इसलिए फ़सल के स्वामी से विनती करो कि वह अपनी फ़सल काटने के लिए मज़दूरों को भेजे।

3) जाओ, मैं तुम्हें भेडि़यों के बीच भेड़ों की तरह भेजता हूँ।

4) तुम न थैली, न झोली और न जूते ले जाओ और रास्तें में किसी को नमस्कार मत करो।

5) जिस घर में प्रवेश करते हो, सब से पहले यह कहो, ’इस घर को शान्ति!’

6) यदि वहाँ कोई शान्ति के योग्य होगा, तो उस पर तुम्हारी शान्ति ठहरेगी, नहीं तो वह तुम्हारे पास लौट आयेगी।

7) उसी घर में ठहरे रहो और उनके पास जो हो, वही खाओ-पियो; क्योंकि मज़दूर को मज़दूरी का अधिकार है। घर पर घर बदलते न रहो।

8) जिस नगर में प्रवेश करते हो और लोग तुम्हारा स्वागत करते हैं, तो जो कुछ तुम्हें परोसा जाये, वही खा लो।

9) वहाँ के रोगियों को चंगा करो और उन से कहो, ’ईश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे निकट आ गया है’।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

प्रभु येसु बड़े प्रभावशाली वक्ता हैं। वह ऐसे तरीक़ों और माध्यमों के द्वारा हमें समझाते हैं कि मूर्ख से मूर्ख व्यक्ति भी उनके सन्देश को भली-भाँति समझ जाएगा। किसी भी सन्देश को समझना इस बात पर निर्भर करता है कि सुनने वाले उससे खुद को कितना जुड़ा हुआ पाते हैं। प्रभु येसु अपने सुनने वालों को पहचानते हैं, उनके सुनने वालों में हर तरह के लोग थे। फिर भी उनमें कुछ ऐसा था जो जिससे सब लोग परिचित थे, ऐसी रोज़मर्रा की चीजें और वस्तुएँ जिनसे वे अच्छी तरह से परिचित थे। प्रभु येसु स्वर्ग के महान रहस्यों को समझाने के लिए इन्हीं रोज़मर्रा की चीजों का उदाहरण देते हैं।

आज हम उन्हें ईश वचन के प्रभाव को समझाने के लिए बीज बोने वाला, बीज और मिट्टी का उदाहरण देते हुए देखते हैं। वह स्वयं ही उस दृष्टांत का अर्थ भी समझाते हैं। ईश वचन की फल उत्पन्न करने की क्षमता हमारे हृदय की मिट्टी, मन को खुला रखने की ज़रूरत, और ईश्वर के वचन को अपने जीवन में जीने की हमारी इच्छा पर निर्भर करता है। आइए हम ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करें कि वह हमें हमारे हृदय में उपजाऊ मिट्टी प्रदान करे जिससे ईश वचन उसमें खूब फलप्रद बने। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Jesus is great communicator. He uses tools and methods to teach us in such a way that even the simplest of us would understand his message. The success of the message depends on to what extent the audience can relate themselves with the message. Jesus observes his listeners, he has audience from all categories of life. Even then what is most common is that they are simple people and familiar with all the things of their day-to-day life. Jesus makes use of examples from their day-to-day life to explain to them the great mysteries of beyond.

Today we see him using the example of the sower, seed and the soil in order to explain the effect of word of God. He himself even explains the parable. Fruitfulness of the word of God depends on the soil of our hearts, the openness and receptivity of our hearts, the promptness and willingness of ours to practice and live that word of God. Let us ask the Lord to bless us with the fertile soil for his word to yield great fruit in our lives. Amen.

3 I give thanks to God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing, I have a remembrance of thee in my prayers, night and day.

4 Desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy,

5 Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.

6 For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands.

गणतंत्र दिवस

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 10:1-10

1) संहिता भावी कल्याण का वास्तविक रूप नहीं, उसकी छाया मात्र दिखाती है। उसके नियमों के अनुसार प्रतिवर्ष एक ही प्रकार के बलिदान चढ़ाये जाते हैं। संहिता उन बलिदानों द्वारा उपासकों को पूर्णता तक पहुँचाने में असमर्थ है।

2) यदि वह इस में समर्थ होती, तो बलिदान समाप्त कर दिये जाते; क्योंकि तब उपासक सदा के लिए शुद्ध हो जाते और उन में पाप का बोध नहीं रहता।

3) किन्तु अब तो उन बलिदानों द्वारा प्रतिवर्ष पापों का स्मरण दिलाया जाता है।

4) सांडों तथा बकरों का रक्त पाप नहीं हर सकता,

5) इसलिए मसीह ने संसार में आ कर यह कहा: तूने न तो यज्ञ चाहा और न चढ़ावा, बल्कि तूने मेरे लिए एक शरीर तैयार किया है।

6) तू न तो होम से प्रसन्न हुआ और न प्रायश्चित्त के बलिदान से;

7) इसलिए मैंने कहा - ईश्वर! मैं तेरी इच्छा पूरी करने आया हूँ, जैसा कि धर्मग्रन्थ में मेरे विषय में लिखा हुआ है।

8) मसीह ने पहले कहा, "तूने यज्ञ, चढ़ावा, होम या या प्रायचित्त का बलिदान नहीं चाहा। तू उन से प्रसन्न नहीं हुआ", यद्यपि ये सब संहिता के अनुसार ही चढ़ाये जाते हैं।

9) तब उन्होंने कहा, "देख, मैं तेरी इच्छा पूरी करने आया हूँ"। इस प्रकार वह पहली व्यवस्था को रद्द करते और दूसरी का प्रवर्तन करते हैं।

10) ईसा मसीह के शरीर के एक ही बार बलि चढ़ाये जाने के कारण हम ईश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार पवित्र किये गये हैं।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 3:31-35

31) उस समय ईसा की माता और भाई आये। उन्होंने घर के बाहर से उन्हें बुला भेजा।

32) लोग ईसा के चारों ओर बैठे हुए थे। उन्होंने उन से कहा, "देखिए, आपकी माता और आपके भाई-बहनें, बाहर हैं। वे आप को खोज रहे हैं।"

33) ईसा ने उत्तर दिया, ’कौन है मेरी माता, कौन हैं मेरे भाई?"

34) उन्होंने अपने चारों ओर बैठे हुए लोगों पर दृष्टि दौड़ायी और कहा, "ये हैं मेरी माता और मेरे भाई।

35) जो ईश्वर की इच्छा पूरी करता है, वही है मेरा भाई, मेरी बहन और मेरी माता।"

गणतंत्र दिवस

पहला पाठ : 1तिमथी 2:1-8

1 (1-2) मैं सब से पहले यह अनुरोध करता हूँ कि सभी मनुष्यों के लिए, विशेष रूप से राजाओं और अधिकारियों के लिए, अनुनय-विनय, प्रार्थना निवेदन तथा धन्यवाद अर्पित किया जाये, जिससे हम भक्ति तथा मर्यादा के साथ निर्विघ्न तथा शान्त जीवन बिता सकें।

3) यह उचित भी है और हमारे मुक्तिदाता ईश्वर को प्रिय भी,

4) क्योंकि वह चाहता है कि सभी मनुष्य मुक्ति प्राप्त करें और सत्य को जानें।

5) क्योंकि केवल एक ही ईश्वर है और ईश्वर तथा मनुष्यों के केवल एक ही मध्यस्थ हैं, अर्थात् ईसा मसीह,

6) जो स्वयं मनुष्य हैं और जिन्होंने सब के उद्धार के लिए अपने को अर्पित किया। उन्होंने उपयुक्त समय पर इसके सम्बन्ध में अपना साक्ष्य दिया।

7) मैं सच कहता हूँ, झूठ नहीं बोलता। मैं इसी का प्रचारक तथा प्रेरित, गैर-यहूदियों के लिए विश्वास तथा सत्य का उपदेशक नियुक्त हुआ हूँ।

8) मैं चाहता हूँ कि सब जगह पुरुष, बैर तथा विवाद छोड़ कर, श्रद्धापूर्वक हाथ ऊपर उठा कर प्रार्थना करें।

सुसमाचार : योहन 8:31-42

31) जिन यहूदियों ने उन में विश्वास किया, उन से ईसा ने कहा, "यदि तुम मेरी शिक्षा पर दृढ़ रहोगे, तो सचमुच मेरे शिष्य सिद्ध होगे।

32) तुम सत्य को पहचान जाओगे और सत्य तुम्हें स्वतन्त्र बना देगा।"

33) उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, "हम इब्राहीम की सन्तान हैं, हम कभी किसी के दास नहीं रहे। आप यह क्या कहते हैं- तुम स्वतन्त्र हो जाओगे?"

34) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "मै तुम से यह कहता हूँ - जो पाप करता है, वह पाप का दास है।

35) दास सदा घर में नहीं रहता, पुत्र सदा रहता है।

36) इसलिए यदि पुत्र तुम्हें स्वतन्त्र बना देगा, तो तुम सचमुच स्वतन्त्र होगे।

37) "मैं जानता हूँ कि तुम लोग इब्राहीम की सन्तान हो। फिर भी तुम मुझे मार डालने की ताक में रहते हो, क्योंकि मेरी शिक्षा तुम्हारे हृदय में घर नहीं कर सकी।

38) मैंने अपने पिता के यहाँ जो देखा है, वही कहता हूँ और तुम लोगों ने अपने पिता के यहाँ जो सीखा है, वही करते हो।" उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, "इब्राहीम हमारे पिता हैं"।

39) इस पर ईसा ने उन से कहा, "यदि तुम इब्राहीम की सन्तान हो, तो इब्राहीम-जैसा आचरण करो।

40) अब तो तुम मुझे इसलिए मार डालने की ताक में रहते हो कि मैंने जो सत्य ईश्वर से सुना, वह तुम लोगों को बता दिया। यह इब्राहीम-जैसा आचरण नहीं है।

41) तुम लोग तो अपने ही पिता-जैसा आचरण करते हो।" उन्होंने ईसा से कहा, "हम व्यभिचार से पैदा नहीं हुए। हमारा एक ही पिता है और वह ईश्वर है।"

42) ईसा ने यहूदियों से कहा, "यदि ईश्वर तुम्हारा पिता होता, तो तुम मुझे प्यार करते, क्योंकि मैं ईश्वर से उत्पन्न हुआ हूँ और उसके यहाँ से आया हूँ। मैं अपनी इच्छा से नहीं आया हूँ, मुझे उसी ने भेजा है।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज हम अपने देश की आज़ादी को महसूस करने का पर्व मनाते हैं, वही आज़ादी जिसे ना जाने कितने ही शहीदों के त्याग और बलिदान के फलस्वरूप हमने पाया है। उन्हें ग़ुलामी का दर्द मालूम था, जब हमारा देश विदेशी ताक़तों के वश में था और हम स्वतंत्र नागरिक नहीं कहलाते थे। लेकिन आज हम एक आज़ाद देश के आज़ाद नागरिक कहलाते हैं, और यह आज़ादी हमें हमारा संविधान देता है। इसलिए आज हमारे देश के नेताओं और शासकों के लिए प्रार्थना करने का दिन है, जिनके कंधों पर इस महान राष्ट्र की बाग-डोर है।

यदि हमारी सांसारिक स्वतंत्रता हमारे लिए इतनी महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इसे हमने तमाम त्याग और बलिदान के बाद पाया है, तो हमारी आध्यात्मिक स्वतंत्रता हमारे लिए कितनी महत्वपूर्ण होनी चाहिए जिसे हमने कलवारी के बलिदान के बाद पाया है। इसके लिए क्रूस पर पवित्र लहू बहाया गया है। हमें पाप की ग़ुलामी से आज़ाद करने के लिए प्रभु येसु ने खुद को क्रूस पर क़ुर्बान कर दिया। क्या हमें इस आज़ादी की क़ीमत मालूम है? प्रभु ने हमको ईश्वर की सन्तानें और स्वर्गीय राज्य के नागरिक बना दिया है। आइए हम इस स्वतंत्रता को ज़िम्मेदारी के साथ जिएँ और प्रभु से सामना होने तक सुरक्षित बनाए रखें। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Today we celebrate the freedom of our country that we have received after lot of sacrifices of great martyrs. They knew the pain of not being free, our country was under the control of the foreign powers and we were not called free citizens. But today we are called the free citizens of a free country and this freedom is ensured in our constitution. Therefore, today is also the day to pray for the leaders of the country who are entrusted with such a great responsibility of leading this great nation.

If our worldly freedom is so precious because we have attained it after great sacrifices, then how much important is our spiritual freedom that is gained by such a great sacrifice on the Calvary, most precious blood is shed for this freedom. Jesus has died on the cross to make us free from the bondage of sin. Do we realise the price of this freedom? He has made us the children of God, the citizens of the heavenly kingdom. Let us use this freedom with responsibility and safeguard it till we meet the Lord face-to-face.
