First Reading: Ezekiel 47: 1-9, 12

1 And he brought me again to the gate of the house, and behold waters issued out from under the threshold of the house toward the east: for the forefront, of the house looked toward the east: but the waters came down to the right side of the temple to the south part of the altar.

2 And he led me out by the way of the north gate, and he caused me to turn to the way without the outward gate to the way that looked toward the east: and behold there ran out waters on the right side.

3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went out towards the east, he measured a thousand cubits: and he brought me through the water up to the ankles.

4 And again he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the water up to the knees.

5 And he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the water up to the loins. And he measured a thousand, and it was a torrent, which I could not pass over: for the waters were risen so as to make a deep torrent, which could not be passed over.

6 And he said to me: Surely thou hast seen, O son of man. And he brought me out, and he caused me to turn to the bank of the torrent.

7 And when I had turned myself, behold on the bank of the torrent were very many trees on both sides.

8 And he said to me: These waters that issue forth toward the hillocks of sand to the east, and go down to the plains of the desert, shall go into the sea, and shall go out, and the waters shall be healed.

9 And every living creature that creepeth whithersoever the torrent shall come, shall live: and there shall be fishes in abundance after these waters shall come thither, and they shall be healed, and all things shall live to which the torrent shall come.

12 And by the torrent on the banks thereof on both sides shall grow all trees that bear fruit: their leaf shall not fall off, and their fruit shall not fail: every month shall they bring forth firstfruits, because the waters thereof shall issue out of the sanctuary: and the fruits thereof shall be for food, and the leaves thereof for medicine.

1 After these things was a festival day of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

2 Now there is at Jerusalem a pond, called Probatica, which in Hebrew is named Bethsaida, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of sick, of blind, of lame, of withered; waiting for the moving of the water.

4 And an angel of the Lord descended at certain times into the pond; and the water was moved. And he that went down first into the pond after the motion of the water, was made whole, of whatsoever infirmity he lay under.

5 And there was a certain man there, that had been eight and thirty years under his infirmity.

6 Him when Jesus had seen lying, and knew that he had been now a long time, he saith to him: Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The infirm man answered him: Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pond. For whilst I am coming, another goeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith to him: Arise, take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And immediately the man was made whole: and he took up his bed, and walked. And it was the sabbath that day.

10 The Jews therefore said to him that was healed: It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for thee to take up thy bed.

11 He answered them: He that made me whole, he said to me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

12 They asked him therefore: Who is that man who said to thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

13 But he who was healed, knew not who it was; for Jesus went aside from the multitude standing in the place.

14 Afterwards, Jesus findeth him in the temple, and saith to him: Behold thou art made whole: sin no more, lest some worse thing happen to thee.

15 The man went his way, and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had made him whole.

16 Therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

चालीसे का चौथा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : एज़ेकिएल 47:1-9, 12

1) वह मुझे मंदिर के द्वार पर वापस ले आया। वहाँ मैंने देखा कि मन्दिर की देहली के नीचे से पूर्व की ओर जल निकल कर बह रहा है, क्योंकि मन्दिर का मुख पूर्व की ओर था। जल वेदी के दक्षिण में मन्दिर के दक्षिण पाश्र्व के नीचे से बह रहा था।

2) वह मुझे उत्तरी फाटक से बाहर-बाहर घुमा कर पूर्व के बाह्य फाटक तक ले गया। वहाँ मैंने देखा कि जल दक्षिण पाश्र्व से टपक रहा है।

3) उसने हाथ में माप की डोरी ले कर पूर्व की ओर जाते हुए एक हजार हाथ की दूरी नापी। तब उसने मुझे जलधारा को पार करने को कहा- पानी टखनों तक था।

4) उसने फिर एक हज़ार हाथ नाप कर मुझ से जलधारा को पार करने को कहा- पानी घुटनों तक था। उसने फिर एक हज़ार हाथ नाप कर मुझ से जलधारा को पार करने के कहा- पानी कमर तक था।

5) उसने फिर एक हज़ार हाथ की दूरी नापी- अब मैं उस जलधारा को पार नहीं कर सकता था, पानी इतना बढ़ गया था कि तैर कर ही पार करना संभव था। वह जलधारा ऐसी थी कि उसे कोई पार नहीं कर सकता था।

6) उसने मुझ से कहा, ’’मानवपुत्र! क्या तुमने इसे देखा?’’ तब वह मुझे ले गया और बाद में उसने मुझे फिर जलधारा के किनारे पर पहुँचा दिया।

7) वहाँ से लौटने पर मुझे जलधारा के दोनों तटों पर बहुत-से पेड़ दिखाई पड़े।

8) उसने मुझ से कहा, ’’यह जल पूर्व की ओर बह कर अराबा घाटी तक पहुँचता और समुद्र में गिरता है। यह उस समुद्र के खारे पानी को मीठा बना देता है।

9) यह नदी जहाँ कहीं गुज़रती है, वहाँ पृथ्वी पर विचरने वाले प्राणियों को जीवन प्रदान करती है। वहाँ बहुत-सी मछलिया पाय जायेंगी, क्योंकि वह धारा समुद्र का पानी मीठा कर देती है। और जहाँ कहीं भी पहुचती है, जीवन प्रदान करती है।

12) नदी के दोनों तटों पर हर प्रकार के फलदार पेड़े उगेंगे- उनके पत्ते नहीं मुरझायेंगें और उन पर कभी फलों की कमी नहीं होगी। वे हर महीने नये फल उत्पन्न करेंगे; क्योंकि उनका जल मंदिर से आता है। उनके फल भोजन और उनके पत्ते दवा के काम आयेंगे।

सुसमाचार : सन्त योहन 5:1-6

1) इसके कुछ समय बाद ईसा यहूदियों के किसी पर्व के अवसर पर येरुसालेम गये।

2) येरुसालेम में भेड़-फाटक के पास एक कुण्ड है, जो इब्रानी भाषा में बेथेस्दा कहलाता है। उसके पाँच मण्डप हैं।

3) उन में बहुत-से रोगी-अन्धे, लँगड़े और अद्र्धांगरोगी-पड़े हुए थे। (वे पानी के लहराने की राह देख रहे थे,

4) क्योंकि प्रभु का दूत समय-समय पर कुण्ड में उतर कर पानी हिला देता था। पानी के लहराने के बाद जो सब से पहले कुण्ड में उतरता था- चाहे वह किसी भी रोग से पीडि़त क्यों न हो- अच्छा हो जाता था।)

5) वहाँ एक मनुष्य था, जो अड़तीस वर्षों से बीमार था।

6) ईसा ने उसे पड़ा हुआ देखा और, यह जान कर कि वह बहुत समय से इसी तरह पड़ा हुआ है, उस से कहा, ‘‘क्या तुम अच्छा हो जाना चाहते हो’’

7) रोगी ने उत्तर दिया, ‘‘महोदय; मेरा कोई नहीं है, जो पानी के लहराते ही मुझे कुण्ड में उतार दे। मेरे पहुँचने से पहले ही उस में कोई और उतर पड़ता है।’’

8) ईसा ने उस से कहा, ‘‘उठ कर खड़े हो जाओ; अपनी चारपाई उठाओ और चलो’’।

9) उसी क्षण वह मनुष्य अच्छा हो गया और अपनी चारपाई उठा कर चलने-फिरने लगा।

10) वह विश्राम का दिन था। इसलिए यहूदियों ने उस से, जो अच्छा हो गया था, कहा, ‘‘आज विश्राम का दिन है। चारपाई उठाना तुम्हारे लिए उचित नहीं है।’’

11) उसने उत्तर दिया, ‘‘जिसने मुझे अच्छा किया, उसी ने मुझ से कहा- अपनी चार पाई उठाओ और चलो’’।

12) उन्होंने उस से पूछा, ‘‘कौन है वह, जिसने तुम से कहा- अपनी चारपाई उठाओ और चलो?’’

13) चंगा किया हुआ मनुष्य नहीं जानता था कि वह कौन है, क्योंकि उस जगह बहुत भीड़ थी और ईसा वहाँ से निकल गये थे।

14) बाद में मंदिर में मिलने पर ईसा ने उस से कहा, ‘‘देखो, तुम चंगे हो गये हो। फिर पाप नहीं करो। कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम पर और भी भारी संकट आ पड़े।’’

15) उस मनुष्य ने जा कर यहूदियों को बताया कि जिन्होंने मुझे चंगा किया है, वह ईसा हैं।

16) यहूदी ईसा को इसलिए सताते थे कि वे विश्राम के दिन ऐसे काम किया करते थे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज के पहले पाठ में नबी एज़ेकिएल का मन्दिर के दर्शन के बारे में हम पढते है। नबी एज़ेकिएल कहते है कि उन्होंने मन्दिर के अंदर से चारों ओर पानी बहते हुए देखा। इसका मतलब यह है कि मन्दिर एैसी जगह है जहॉ से ईश्वर की कृपा बहती है। क्योंकि मन्दिर में सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर का सान्निध्य रहता है। येसु के बारे में वचन कहता है - (योहन 7:37-39) पर्व के अन्तिम और मुख्य दिन ईसा उठ खड़े हुए और उन्होंने पुकार कर कहा, यदि कोई प्यासा हो, तो वह मेरे पास आये। जो मुझ में विश्वास करता है, वह अपनी प्यास बुझाये। जैसा कि धर्मग्रन्थ में लिखा है-उसके अन्तस्तल से संजीवन जल की नदियॉ बह निकलेंगी। उन्होंने यह बात उस आत्मा के विषय में कही, जो उन में विश्वास करने वालों को प्राप्त होगा। उस समय तक आत्मा प्रदान नहीं किया गया था, क्योंकि ईसा महिमान्वित नहीं हुए थे। (इसायाह 55:1) तुम सब, जो प्यासे हो, पानी के पास चले आओ। यदि तुम्हारे पास रूप्या नहीं हो, तो भी आओ। और आगे वचन में कहते है (इसायाह 55:1) तुम आनन्दित हो कर मुक्ति के स्रोत में जल भरोगे। उस दिन तुम यह कहोगे, प्रभु का धन्यवाद करे, उसका नाम घोषित करो। राष्ट्रों में उसके महान कार्यों का बखान करो, उसके नाम की महिमा गाओ।

आईए हम मन्दिर में जाये और अपनी प्यास बुझाये। प्रभु के मंदिर में जाने से प्रभु हमें अपनी कृपा से भरेंगे और हमारा जीवन बदल जायेंगे । जैसे (योहन 1:16)येसु की परिपूर्णता से हम सबों को अनुग्रह पर अनुग्रह मिला है जैसे सुसमाचार में हम पढते है जब वह अर्द्धांगरोगी येरूसालेम में भेड़-फाटक के पास के कुण्ड के पास पडा हुआ था तब वह येसु के कर स्पर्श द्वारा चंगा होकर उनको नवजीवन मिला।

साथ ही साथ जब हम ईश्वर के साथ रहते है तो हम ईश्वर के अनुग्रह से भर जाते है और हम से वह अनुग्रह दूसरों कि ओर बहते है। (प्रेरित चरित 19:11-12) ईश्वर पौलुस द्वारा असाधरण चमत्कार दिखाता था। जब लोग उसके शरीर पर के रूमाल और अॅगोछे रोगियों के पास ले जाते थे, तो उनकी बीमारियॉ दूर हो जाती थीं और दुष्ट आत्मा निकल जाते थे। (एज़ेमिएल 47:9) यह नदी जहॉ कहीं गुज़रती हेै, वहॉ पृथ्वी पर पवचरने वाले प्राणियों को जीवन प्रदान करती है। एज़ेमिएल 47:12 में पढ़ते है कि नदी के दोनों तटों पर हर प्रकार के फलदार पेड़ उगेंगे - दनके पत्ते नहीं पुरझायेंगे और उन पर कभी फलों की कमी नहीं होगी। वे हर महीने नये फल उत्पन्न करेेंगे; क्योंकि उनका जल मन्दिर से आता है। उनके फल भोजन और उनके पत्ते दवा के काम आयेंगे। हम इस प्रकार संतों का रेलिकस इसतेमाल करते है। आईए हम भी इसी तरह प्रभु से जुड़़े रहे ताकी हमाारा जीवन दूसरों केलिए एक अनुग्रह बनजाये।

📚 REFLECTION

In today’s reading we hear about the vision of prophet Ezekiel about the temple of the Lord. The Prophet says that he was saw water flowing all over from the temple. It means to say that temple is the place where there is the presence of God and because of that grace flows from there. There is a similar words Jesus says in John 7:37-39 – on the last day of the festival the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out,” Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water. Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive; for as yet there was no Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified. In the book of Isaiah also we read in 55:1 Ho everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you that have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. In Isaiah 12:3 with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted.

Come let us go to the house of the Lord and quench our thirst. If you go to the temple of the Lord he will quench our thirst. And our life will be changed. In John 1:16 the word of God says: from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. We read in the Gospel of John chapter 5 the man lying near the pool called in Hebrew Bethzatha was healed by Jesus. Thus he received a new life.

When we remain with the Lord we get grace from the Lord and we in turn become a channel of grace for the people. In Acts 19:11-12 God performed extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that when the hand kerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, their diseases left them, and the evil spirits came out of them. The word of God says the same in Ezekiel 47:12 on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.

Come let us all be united with the Lord so that we will be blessed by the grace of God and we in turn become a channel of blessing for the people.

चालीसे का चौथा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : iइसायाह 65:17-21

17) “मैं एक नये आकाश और एक नयी पृथ्वी की सृष्टि करूँगा। पुरानी बातें भुला दी जायेंगी, उन्हें कोई याद नहीं करेगा।

18) मेरी उस सृष्टि में सदा आनन्द और उल्लास रहेगा। मैं येरुसालेम को आनन्दित और उसकी प्रजा को उल्लसित करूँगा।

19) तब येरुसालेम मुझे आनन्द प्रदान करेगा और मेरी प्रजा मेरे उल्लास का कारण बनेगी। उस में फिर न तो रुदन सुनाई देगा और न विलाप।

20) वहाँ न तो कोई ऐसा शिशु मिलेगा, जो थोड़े ही दिनों तक जीवित रहे और न कोई ऐसा वृद्ध, जो अपने दिन पूरे न कर पाये। हर युवक सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहेगा- जो उस उमर तक नहीं पहुँचता, वह शापित माना जायेगा।

21) वे घर बनायेंगे और उन में निवास करेंगे; वे दाखबारियाँ लगायेंगे और उनके फल खायेंगे।

सुसमाचार : सन्त योहन 4:43-54

43) उन दो दिनों के बाद वह वहाँ से विदा हो कर गलीलिया गये।

44) ईसा ने स्वयं यह कहा था कि अपने देश में नबी का आदर नहीं होता।

45) जब वह गलीलिया पहुँचे, तो लोगों ने उनका स्वागत किया; क्योंकि ईसा ने पर्व के दिनों येरुसालेम में जो कुछ किया था, वह सब उन्होंने देखा था। पर्व के लिए वे भी वहाँ गये थे।

46) वे फिर गलीलिया के काना नगर आये, जहाँ उन्होंने पानी को अंगूरी बना दिया था। कफरनाहूम में राज्य के किसी पदाधिकारी का पुत्र बीमार था।

47) जब उस पदाधिकारी ने सुना कि ईसा यहूदिया से गलीलिया आ गये हैं, तो वह उनके पास आया। उसने उन से यह प्रार्थना की कि वह चल कर उसके पुत्र को चंगा कर दें, क्यांकि वह मरने-मरने को था।

48) ईसा ने उस से कहा, ‘‘आप लोग चिन्ह तथा चमत्कार देखे बिना विश्वास नहीं करेंगे’’।

49) इस पर पदाधिकारी ने उन से कहा, ‘‘महोदय! कृपया चलिए, कहीं मेरा बच्चा न मर जाये’’।

50) ईसा ने उत्तर दिया, ‘‘जाइए, आपका पुत्र अच्छा हो गया है’’। वह मनुष्य ईसा के वचन पर विश्वास कर चला गया।

51) वह रास्ते में ही था कि उसके नौकर मिल गये और उस से बोले, ‘‘आपका पुत्र अच्छा हो गया है’’।

52) उसने उन से पूछा कि वह किस समय अच्छा होने लगा था। उन्होंने कहा कि कल दिन के एक बजे उसका बुख़ार उतर गया।

53) तब पिता समझ गया कि ठीक उसी समय ईसा ने उस से कहा था, ‘आपका पुत्र अच्छा हो गया है’ और उसने अपने सारे परिवार के साथ विश्वास किया।

54) यह ईसा का दूसरा चमत्कार था, जो उन्होंने यहूदिया से गलीलिया आने के बाद दिखाया।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

ईश्वर ने नबी इसायाह द्वारा ये वादा किया था कि मैं एक नये आकाश और एक नयी पृथ्वी की सृष्टि करूॅगा। पुरानी बातें भुला दी जायेंगी, उन्हें कोई याद नहीं करेगा। (इसायाह 65:17); पिछली बातें भुला दो, पुरानी बातें जाने दो। देखो, मैं एक नया कार्य करते जा रहा हॅू। वह प्रारम्भ हो चुका है। (इसायाह 43:18-19) इसकी पूतीकरण के रूप में पिता ईश्वर ने प्रभु येसु को हमें प्रदान किया है। इसलिए वचन में कहता है कि जितनों ने उसे अपनाया, और जो उसके नाम में विश्वास करते हैं, उन सबों को उसने ईश्वर की सन्तति बनने का अधिकार दिया। (योहन 1:12); यदि कोई मसीह मे साथ एक हो गया है, तो वह नयी सृष्टि बन गया है। पुरानी बातें समाप्त हो गयी हैं और सब कुछ नया हो गया है। (2कुरिन्थियों 5:17); तब सिंहासन पर विराजमान व्यक्ति ने कहा, मैं सब कुछ नया बना देता हॅू। (प्रकाशना ग्रन्थ 21:5)

संत पौलूस कहते है कि किसी का ख़तना हूआ हो या नहीं, इसका कोई महत्व नहीं। महत्व इस बात का है कि हम़ पूर्ण रूप से नयी सृष्टि बन जायें। (गलातियों 6:15) हमें नयी सृष्टि बनने केलिए येसु के साथ एक होना है। येसु के साथ एक होने के लिए हमें क्या करना होगा? संत पौलूस किस प्रकार येसु के साथ एक होकर नयी प्राणी बन गये? वे कहते है- किन्तु मैं जिन बातों को लाभ समझता था, उन्हें मसीह के कारण हानि समझने लगा हॅू। इतना ही नहीं, मैं प्रभु ईसा मसीह को जानना सर्वश्रेष्ट लाभ मानता हॅू और इस ज्ञान की तुलना में हर वस्तु को हानि ही मानता हॅू। उन्ही केलिए मैंने सब कुछ छोड़ दिया है और उसे कूड़ा समझता हॅू, जिससे मैं मसीह को प्राप्त करूॅ और उनके साथ पुर्ण रूप् से एक हो जाऊॅ। (फिलिप्पियों 3:7-9)

येसु हमें नया करने वाला है। आईए हम येसु के पास जायें वह हमारी दुर्बलताओं को बीमारियों को पापों को परेशानियों को कमजोरियों को दूर करेगा और हमें नया बनायेगा।

📚 REFLECTION

The Lord says in Isa 65:17 For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. Again the Word of God says Isa 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and river in the desert. In order to fulfill this God the Father gave us his only Son Jesus Christ. Therefore the word of God says in Jn 1:12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. (2Cor 5:17) So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new. Rev. 21:5 and the one who was seated on the throne said “see, I am making all things new”

St Paul says in Gal 6:15 For neither circumcision or uncircumcision is anything; but a new creation is everything. In order to become a new creation we need to become one with Jesus Christ. What should we do in order to become one with Jesus? St. Paul give us the explanation from his life (Philip 3:7-9) Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

Jesus is the one who makes us new. Let’s carry all our difficulties, sinfulness, weakness, sickness to Jesus. He will heal us and make us whole.
