First Reading: Revelation 4:1-11

1 After these things I looked, and behold a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, as it were, of a trumpet speaking with me, said: Come up hither, and I will shew thee the things which must be done hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and behold there was a throne set in heaven, and upon the throne one sitting.

3 And he that sat, was to the sight like the jasper and the sardine stone; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats; and upon the seats, four and twenty ancients sitting, clothed in white garments, and on their heads were crowns of gold.

5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there were seven lamps burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

6 And in the sight of the throne was, as it were, a sea of glass like to crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind.

7 And the first living creature was like a lion: and the second living creature like a calf: and the third living creature, having the face, as it were, of a man: and the fourth living creature was like an eagle flying.

8 And the four living creatures had each of them six wings; and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.

9 And when those living creatures gave glory, and honour, and benediction to him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever;

10 The four and twenty ancients fell down before him that sitteth on the throne, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory, and honour, and power: because thou hast created all things; and for thy will they were, and have been created.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 150: 1b-2, 3-4, 5-6

1 Praise ye the Lord in his holy places: praise ye him in the firmament of his power.

2 Praise ye him for his mighty acts: praise ye him according to the multitude of his greatness.

3 Praise him with sound of trumpet: praise him with psaltery and harp.

4 Praise him with timbrel and choir: praise him with strings and organs.

5 Praise him on high sounding cymbals: praise him on cymbals of joy:

6 Let every spirit praise the Lord. Alleluia.

Gospel: Luke 19: 11-28

11 As they were hearing these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately be manifested.

12 He said therefore: A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

13 And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds, and said to them: Trade till I come.

14 But his citizens hated him: and they sent an embassage after him, saying: We will not have this man to reign over us.

15 And it came to pass, that he returned, having received the kingdom: and he commanded his servants to be called, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

16 And the first came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said to him: Well done, thou good servant, because thou hast been faithful in a little, thou shalt have power over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

19 And he said to him: Be thou also over five cities.

20 And another came, saying: Lord, behold here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin;

21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down, and thou reapest that which thou didst not sow.

22 He saith to him: Out of thy own mouth I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow:

23 And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming, I might have exacted it with usury?

24 And he said to them that stood by: Take the pound away from him, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

25 And they said to him: Lord, he hath ten pounds.

26 But I say to you, that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath, shall be taken from him.

27 But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither, and kill them before me.

28 And having said these things, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.

वर्ष का तैंतीसवाँ सामान्य सप्ताह, बुधवार

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रकाशना 4:1-11

1) इसके बाद मैंने एक दिव्य दृश्य देखा। मैंने देखा कि स्वर्ग में एक द्वार खुला है और वह तुरही-जैसी वाणी, जिसे मैंने पहले अपने से बाते करते सुना था, बोल रही है- "यहाँ, ऊपर आओं। मैं तुम्हें दिखाऊँगा कि बाद मे क्या होने वाला है।

2) मैं तुरन्त आत्मा से आविष्ट हो गया। मैंने देखा कि स्वर्ग में एक सिंहासन रखा हुआ है और उस पर कोई विराजमान है,

3) जिसका रूप-रंग सूर्यकान्त एवं रूधिराख्य के सदृश है और सिंहासन के चारों ओर मरकतमणि-जैसा एक आधा-मण्डल है।

4) सिंहासन के चारों और चैबीस सिंहासन रखे हुए है और उन पर चैबीस वयोवृद्ध विराजमान हैं। वे उजले वस्त्र पहने हैं और उनके सिर पर सोने के मुकुट हैं।

5) सिंहासन से बिजलियाँ, वाणियाँ और मेघ-गर्जन निकल रहे हैं। सिंहासन के सामने आग की सात मशाले जल रही हैं; वे ईश्वर के सात आत्मा हैं।

6) सिंहासन के आसपास का फर्श मानो स्फटिक-सदृश पारदर्शी समुद्र है। बीच में, सिंहासन के आसपास चार प्राणी हैं। वे आगे और पीछे की ओर आँखों से भरे हुए हैं।

7) पहला प्राणी सिंह के सदृश है और दूसरा प्राणी साँड़ के सदृश। तीसरे प्राणी का चेहरा मनुष्य-जैसा है

8) चारों प्राणियों के छः-छः पंख है। वे भीतर बाहर आँखों से भरे हुए हैं और दिन-रात निरन्तर यह कहते रहते हैं- पवित्र, पवित्र, पवित्र सर्वशक्तिमान् प्रभु-ईश्वर, जो था, जो है और जो आने वाला है!

9) जब-जब प्राणी सिंहासन पर विराजमान, युग-युगों तक जीवित रहने वाले को महिमा, सम्मान और धन्यवाद देते हैं,

10) तब तब चैबीस वयोवृद्ध सिंहासन पर विराजमान को दण्डवत् कहते हैं, युग-युगों तक जीवित रहने वाले की आराधना करते और यह कहते हुए सिंहासन के सामने अपने मुकुट डाल देते हैं-

11) हमारे पुभु-ईश्वर! तू महिमा, सम्मान और सामर्थ्य का अधिकारी है; क्योंकि तूने विश्व की सृष्टि की। तेरी इच्छा से वह अस्तित्व में आया और उसकी सृष्टि हुई है।"

📙 सुसमाचार : लूकस 19:11-28

11) जब लोग ये बातें सुन रहे थे, तो ईसा ने एक दृष्टान्त भी सुनाया; क्योंकि ईसा को येरूसालेम के निकट पा कर वे यह समझ रहे थे कि ईश्वर का राज्य तुरन्त प्रकट होने वाला है।

12) उन्होंने कहा, "एक कुलीन मनुष्य राजपद प्राप्त कर लौटने के विचार से दूर देश चला गया।

13) उसने अपने दस सेवकों को बुलाया और उन्हें एक-एक अशर्फ़ी दे कर कहा, ‘मेरे लौटने तक व्यापार करो’।

14) "उसके नगर-निवासी उस से बैर करते थे और उन्होंने उसके पीछे एक प्रतिनिधि-मण्डल द्वारा कहला भेजा कि हम नहीं चाहते कि वह मनुष्य हम पर राज्य करे।

15) "वह राजपद पा कर लौटा और उसने जिन सेवकों को धन दिया था, उन्हें बुला भेजा और यह जानना चाहा कि प्रत्येक ने व्यापार से कितना कमाया है।

16) पहले ने आ कर कहा, ‘स्वामी! आपकी एक अशर्फ़ी ने दस अशर्फि़य़ाँ कमायी हैं’।

17) स्वामी ने उस से कहा, ‘शाबाश, भले सेवक! तुम छोटी-से-छोटी बातों में ईमानदार निकले, इसलिए तुम्हें दस नगरों पर अधिकार मिलेगा’।

18) दूसरे ने आ कर कहा, ‘स्वामी! आपकी एक अशर्फ़ी ने पाँच अशर्फि़याँ कमायी हैं’

19) और स्वामी ने उस से भी कहा, ‘तुम्हें पाँच नगरों पर अधिकार मिलेगा’।

20) अब तीसरे ने आ कर कहा, ’स्वामी! देखिए, यह है आपकी अशर्फ़ी। मैंने इसे अँगोछे में बाँध रखा था।

21) मैं आप से डरता था, क्योंकि आप कठोर हैं। आपने जो जमा नहीं किया, उसे आप निकालते हैं और जो नहीं बोया, उसे लुनते हैं।’

22) स्वामी ने उस से कहा, ‘दुष्ट सेवक! मैं तेरे ही शब्दों से तेरा न्याय करूँगा। तू जानता था कि मैं कठोर हूँ। मैंने जो जमा नहीं किया, मैं उसे निकालता हूँ और जो नहीं बोया, उसे लुनता हूँ।

23) तो, तूने मेरा धन महाजन के यहाँ क्यों नहीं रख दिया? तब मैं लौट कर उसे सूद के साथ वसूल कर लेता।’

24) और स्वामी ने वहाँ उपस्थित लोगों से कहा, ‘इस से वह अशर्फ़ी ले लो और जिसके पास दस अशर्फि़याँ हैं, उसी को दे दो’।

25) उन्होंने उस से कहा, ‘स्वामी! उसके पास तो दस अशर्फि़याँ हैं’।

26) "मैं तुम से कहता हूँ - जिसके पास कुछ है, उसी को और दिया जायेगा; लेकिन जिसके पास कुछ नहीं है, उस से वह भी ले लिया जायेगा, जो उसके पास है।

27) और मेरे बैरियों को, जो यह नहीं चाहते थे कि मैं उन पर राज्य करूँ, इधर ला कर मेरे सामने मार डालो’।

28) इतना कह कर ईसा येरूसालेम की ओर आगे बढ़े।

प्रेरित पेत्रुस और पोलुस के महामन्दिर का प्रतिष्ठान

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रेरित-चरित 28:11-16, 30-31

11) हम तीन महीने बाद सिकन्दरिया के मिथुन नामक जहाज़ पर सवार हो कर चल पड़े। वह जहाज़ जाड़े भर टापू में रूका रहा।

12) हम सुरकूसा में लंगर डाल कर तीन दिन वहाँ रहे।

13) हम वहाँ से किनारे-किनारे चल कर रेजियम आये। दूसरे दिन दक्षिणी हवा चलने लगी, इसलिए हम एक दिन बाद पुतिओली पहुँचे।

14) वहाँ भाइयों से भेंट हुई और हम उनके अनुरोध पर सात दिन उसके साथ रहे। इसके बाद हम रोम की ओर चल पड़े।

15) वहाँ के भाई, हमारे आगमन का समाचार सुन कर, अप्पियुस के चैक और ’तीन सराय’ नामक स्थान तक हमारा स्वागत करने आये। उन्हें देख कर पौलुस ने ईश्वर को धन्यवाद दिया और उसकी हिम्मत बँध गयी।

16) जब हम रोम पहुँचे, तो पौलुस को यह अनुमति मिली की वह पहरा देने वाले सैनिक के साथ जहाँ चाहे, रह सकता है।

30) पौलुस पूरे दो वर्षों तक अपने किराये के मकान में रहा। वह सभी मिलने वालों का स्वागत करता था।

31) और आत्मविश्वास के साथ निर्विघ्न रूप से ईश्वर के राज्य का सन्देश सुनाता और प्रभु ईसा मसीह के विषय में शिक्षा देता था।

सुसमाचार : मत्ती 14:22-33

22) इसके तुरन्त बाद ईसा ने अपने शिष्यों को इसके लिए बाध्य किया कि वे नाव पर चढ़ कर उन से पहले उस पार चले जायें; इतने में वे स्वयं लोगों को विदा कर देंगे।

23) ईसा लोगों को विदा कर एकान्त में प्रार्थना करने पहाड़ी पर चढे़। सन्ध्या होने पर वे वहाँ अकेले थे।

24) नाव उस समय तट से दूर जा चुकी थी। वह लहरों से डगमगा रही थी, क्योंकि वायु प्रतिकूल थी।

25) रात के चैथे पहर ईसा समुद्र पर चलते हुए शिष्यों की ओर आये।

26) जब उन्होंने ईसा को समुद्र पर चलते हुए देखा, तो वे बहुत घबरा गये और यह कहते हुए, "यह कोई प्रेत है", डर के मारे चिल्ला उठे।

27) ईसा ने तुरन्त उन से कहा, "ढारस रखो; मैं ही हूँ। डरो मत।"

28) पेत्रुस ने उत्तर दिया, "प्रभु! यदि आप ही हैं, तो मुझे पानी पर अपने पास आने की अज्ञा दीजिए"।

29) ईसा ने कहा, "आ जाओ"। पेत्रुस नाव से उतरा और पानी पर चलते हुए ईसा की ओर बढ़ा;

30) किन्तु वह प्रचण्ड वायु देख कर डर गया और जब डूबने लगा तो चिल्ला उठा, "प्रभु! मुझे बचाइए"।

31) ईसा ने तुरन्त हाथ बढ़ा कर उसे थाम लिया और कहा, "अल़्पविश्वासी! तुम्हें संदेह क्यों हुआ?"

32) वे नाव पर चढे और वायु थम गयी।

33) जो नाव में थे, उन्होंने यह कहते हुए ईसा को दण्डवत् किया "आप सचमुच ईश्वर के पुत्र हैं"।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

इस संसार में जो भी चीज़ बनायी गयी हैं उसका कुछ न कुछ मकसद हैं जैसे-गाडियों का मकसद ट्रांसपोर्ट अर्थात् परिवहन करना, कलम का मकसद लिखना, छत का मकसद सुरक्षा और छाया देना इत्यादि। यदि इन सभी वस्तुओं को बनाया गया हैं तो उसका कुछ न कुछ उद्देश्य या मकसद को देख कर बनाया गया है, ठीक उसी प्रकार मनुष्यों का जो प्रभु की सृष्टि हैं प्रत्येक का कुछ न कुछ मकसद हैं। और उस मकसद को पूरा करने के लिए वरदान और योग्यताएॅं भी दी गई है।

आज का सुसमाचार में हम पुनः अशर्फियों का दृष्टांत को सुनते हैं जिसमें एक कुलीन मनुष्य राजपद प्राप्त कर लौटने के विचार से दूर देश जाता हैं। जाने से पहले वह अपने सेवकों को एक एक अशर्फी दे कर कहता है मेरे आने तक व्यापार करों। प्रभु येसु ख्रीस्त जब इस संसार से जा रहे थे तब उन्होने अपने शिष्यों को एक मिशन दिया। ‘‘मुझेे स्वर्ग में और पृथ्वी पर पूरा अधिकार मिला है। इसलिए तुम लोग जा कर सब राष्ट्रों को शिष्य बनाओ और उन्हें पिता, पुत्र और पवित्र आत्मा के नाम पर बपतिस्मा दो। मैने तुम्हें जो-जो आदेश दियें हैं, तुम लो उनका पालन करना उन्हें सिखलाओं और याद रखों- मैं संसार के अन्त तक सदा तुम्हारे साथ हॅंू।’’ (मत्ती 28ः18-20) और इस मिशन को पूरा करने के लिए हमें पवित्र आत्मा प्रदान करने की प्रतिज्ञा की, ’’मेरे पिता ने जिस वरदान की प्रतिज्ञा की है, उसे मैं तुम्हारे पास भेजूॅंगा’’ (लूकस 24ः49)।

प्रभु येसु जाने से पूर्व कार्य और वरदान दोनो दे कर गये। और वे लौट कर उन कार्य और वरदान का लेखा लेंगे। हम सभी को जो प्रभु येसु के अनुयायी हैं हमें पवित्र आत्मा के वरदान तथा उपहार प्राप्त हैं और हर एक को अलग अलग वरदान प्राप्त है जिससे हम उन वरदानों से उनके आने तक उनका मिशन कार्य कर सकें। यह वरदान हमें अपने तक नहीं सीमित रखना हैं परंतु इसका उपयोग कर बहुत से लोगों को सच्चे ईश्वर के विश्वासी बनाना हैं।

आईये हम मनन चिंतन कर के देखे कि हमने अब तक ईश्वरीय वरदान का उपयोग ईश्वर के कार्य के लिए किया है या नहीं। आईये हम ईश्वर के वरदानों का सही उपयोग करें कहीं ऐसा न हो कि जब प्रभु आयें तो हम अपने आप को उस सेवक के स्थान पर पायें जिसने उस अशर्फी को छिपा कर रखा था। बाद में उस से वह अशर्फी भी ले ली गई और दूसरे को सौप दी गई जिसके पास दस अशर्फियॉं थी।

📚 REFLECTION

In this world whatever is made is made with a purpose like vehicles are made for the transport, pen is made for writing, roof is made for shade and protection and so on. These things are made to fulfill one or the other purpose, similarly human who is the creation of God is made for some purpose and to fulfill that purpose humans have received the gifts and potentials.

In today’s gospel once again we come across the parable of the talents in which a noble man went to a distant country to get royal power for himself and then to return. Before going, he summoned ten of his slaves, and giving them one each pounds told them, ‘Do business with these until I come back.’ Lord Jesus before Ascension he gave the mission to the disciples. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mt 28:18-20). And to fulfill this mission he promised to send Holy Spirit, “I am sending upon you what my Father promised.”

Lord Jesus before the Ascension he gave the work and the gifts. And he will come again to take the account of the work and the gift. We all those who are the followers of Jesus have received the gifts and charisms of the Holy Spirit and every individual has received different gifts in order to fulfill his mission work. This gift is given not to restrict them to oneself but to use them so that many may become the Disciples of Christ.

Let’s reflect and see, till now have we used the gifts of God for the work of God or not. Let’s do the proper use of the gift otherwise when the Lord will come we may find ourselves in the place of that slave who hid the pound and at last that pound too was taken from him and given to another one who has ten pounds.
