संत योसेफ वाज़, पुरोहित - पर्व

पहला पाठ : इसायाह 52:7-10

7) जो शान्ति घोषित करता है, सुसमाचार सुनाता है, कल्याण का सन्देश लाता और सियोन से कहता है, “तेरा ईश्वर राज्य करता है“- इस प्रकार शुभ सन्देश सुनाने वाले के चरण पर्वतों पर कितने रमणीय हैं!

8) येरूसालेम! तेरे पहरेदार एक साथ ऊँचे स्वर से आनन्द के गीत गाते हैं। वे अपनी आँखों से देख रहे हैं कि प्रभु ईश्वर सियोन की ओर वापस आ रहा है।

9) येरूसालेम के खँड़हर आनन्दविभोर हो कर जयकार करें! प्रभु-ईश्वर अपनी प्रजा को सान्त्वना देता और येरूसालेम का उद्धार करता है।

10) प्रभु-ईश्वर ने समस्त राष्ट्रों के देखते-देखते अपना पावन सामर्थ्य प्रदर्शित किया है। पृथ्वी के कोने-कोने में हमारे ईश्वर का मुक्ति-विधान प्रकट हुआ है।

अथवा पहला पाठ : 1कुरिन्थियो 1:18-25

18) जो विनाश के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, वे क्रूस की शिक्षा को "मूर्खता" समझते हैं। किन्तु हम लोगों के लिए, जो मुक्ति के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, वह ईश्वर का सामर्थ्य है;

19) क्योंकि लिखा है-मैं ज्ञानियों का ज्ञान नष्ट करूँगा और समझदारों की चतुराई व्यर्थ कर दूँगा।

20) हम में ज्ञानी, शास्त्री और इस संसार के दार्शनिक कहाँ हैं? क्या ईश्वर ने इस संसार के ज्ञान को मूर्खता-पूर्ण नहीं प्रमाणित किया है?

21) ईश्वर की प्रज्ञा का विधान ऐसा था कि संसार अपने ज्ञान द्वारा ईश्वर को नहीं पहचान सका। इसलिए ईश्वर ने सुसमाचार की "मूर्खता" द्वारा विश्वासियों को बचाना चाहा।

22) यहूदी चमत्कार माँगते और यूनानी ज्ञान चाहते हैं,

23) किन्तु हम क्रूस पर आरोपित मसीह का प्रचार करते हैं। यह यहूदियों के विश्वास में बाधा है और गै़र-यहूदियों के लिए ’मूर्खता’।

24) किन्तु मसीह चुने हुए लोगों के लिए, चाहे वे यहूदी हों या यूनानी, ईश्वर का सामर्थ्य और ईश्वर की प्रज्ञा है;

25) क्योंकि ईश्वर की ’मूर्खता’ मनुष्यों से अधिक विवेकपूर्ण और ईश्वर की ’दुर्बलता’ मनुष्यों से अधिक शक्तिशाली है।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 1:14-20

14) योहन के गिरफ़्तार हो जाने के बाद ईसा गलीलिया आये और यह कहते हुए ईश्वर के सुसमाचार का प्रचार करते रहे,

15) "समय पूरा हो चुका है। ईश्वर का राज्य निकट आ गया है। पश्चाताप करो और सुसमाचार में विश्वास करो।"

16) गलीलिया के समुद्र के किनारे से हो कर जाते हुए ईसा ने सिमोन और उसके भाई अन्द्रेयस को देखा। वे समुद्र में जाल डाले रहे थे, क्योंकि वे मछुए थे।

17) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "मेरे पीछे चले आओ। मैं तुम्हें मनुष्यों के मछुए बनाऊँगा।"

18) और वे तुरन्त अपने जाल छोड़ कर उनके पीछे हो लिये।

19) कुछ आगे बढ़ने पर ईसा ने ज़ेबेदी के पुत्र याकूब और उसके भाई योहन को देखा। वे भी नाव में अपने जाल मरम्मत कर रहे थे।

20) ईसा ने उन्हें उसी समय बुलाया। वे अपने पिता ज़ेबेदी को मज़दूरों के साथ नाव में छोड़ कर उनके पीछे हो लिये।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

माता के गर्भ में रचने से पहले ही ईश्वर हमको जानता है। वह हमारे हृदय के गहरे से गहरे रहस्यों को जानता है। हमारी अच्छाइयों और हमारी बुराइयों से वह अच्छी तरह वाक़िफ़ है; हमारी हर कामना और इच्छा को वह जानता है, भले ही हम उसे बाहरी रूप से प्रकट ना करें। और इसीलिए शायद जब लेवी अर्थात् मत्ती में दूसरे लोगों को एक पापी नाकेदार दिखा वहीं प्रभु येसु को उसमें ईश्वर के लिए तरसती हुई एक प्यासी आत्मा दिखी, ईश्वर को पाने के लिए बेचैन होता हुआ एक हृदय दिखा। मनुष्यों के गहरे से गहरे छुपे हुए रहस्यों को जानने वाला ईश्वर होते हुए ही उसके छुपे हुए विचारों और इच्छाओं को प्रभु येसु देख पाए, और इसलिए उसे बुलाते हैं, -“मेरे पीछे चले आओ” और वह तुरन्त उठकर प्रभु येसु के पीछे हो लेता है।

जब हम अपने चारों ओर नज़र उठाकर देखते हैं तो हो सकता है हमें ऐसे लोग मिल जाएँ जो बाहरी रूप से कठोर हृदय और पापी लगते हों, लेकिन ईश्वर उनका हृदय जानता है। हो सकता है वे भले ही ईश्वर से विमुख दिखते हों लेकिन ईश्वर की ओर से एक इशारे का इंतज़ार कर रहे हों। और हो सकता है कि ईश्वर के उस इशारे का माध्यम हमें बनना पड़े। हो सकता है हमारे बाइबल पढ़कर सुनाने से किसी का हृदय बदल जाये। अथवा हो सकता है प्रभु के वचन हमारे धर्म के बारे में एक उचित फ़ेसबुक पोस्ट, या इंस्टाग्राम या ट्विटर पोस्ट किसी का दिल छू ले और वह ईश्वर की ओर मुड़ जाये। आइए हम दूसरों के लिए प्रभु की आवाज़ बनें। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

God knows us through and through even before forming us in mother’s womb. He knows the deepest secrets of our hearts. He is well familiar with all our goodness and wickedness; He knows each and every desire of our heart, even though we may not reveal it. Perhaps that’s why when others saw a sinner and tax collector in Levi or Matthew, Jesus saw a soul thirsting for God, a restless heart for God. It is because Jesus could see the hidden desires of God that he could see through the heart of Matthew, so he calls him, ‘come and follow me’ and he leaves everything and follows Jesus.

We may find some people around us who may seem hard heartened sinners but God knows their hearts. They may seem away from God, but who knows they are waiting for a little push from someone, and may be God wants us to be the instruments of that little push. Who knows when we read the Bible, those words could touch someone’s heart, or may be a simple post on Facebook, Instagram or twitter about Word of God or catechism could inspire someone to turn to God. Let us become God’s inspiration for others. Amen.

3 For we, who have believed, shall enter into rest; as he said: As I have sworn in my wrath; If they shall enter into my rest; and this indeed when the works from the foundation of the world were finished.

4 For in a certain place he spoke of the seventh day thus: And God rested the seventh day from all his works.

5 And in this place again: If they shall enter into my rest.

11 Let us hasten therefore to enter into that rest; lest any man fall into the same example of unbelief.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 78: 3 and 4bc, 6c-7, 8

3 How great things have we heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

4 They have not been hidden from their children, in another generation. Declaring the praises of the Lord, and his powers, and his wonders which he hath done.

6 That another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children.

7 That they may put their hope in God and may not forget the works of God: and may seek his commandments.

8 That they may not become like their fathers, a perverse and exasperating generation. A generation that set not their heart aright: and whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Gospel: Mark 2: 1-12

1 And again he entered into Capharnaum after some days.

2 And it was heard that he was in the house, and many came together, so that there was no room; no, not even at the door; and he spoke to them the word.

3 And they came to him, bringing one sick of the palsy, who was carried by four.

4 And when they could not offer him unto him for the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and opening it, they let down the bed wherein the man sick of the palsy lay.

5 And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.

6 And there were some of the scribes sitting there, and thinking in their hearts:

7 Why doth this man speak thus? he blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only?

8 Which Jesus presently knowing in his spirit, that they so thought within themselves, saith to them: Why think you these things in your hearts?

9 Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy: Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say: Arise, take up thy bed, and walk?

10 But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11 I say to thee: Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house.

12 And immediately he arose; and taking up his bed, went his way in the sight of all; so that all wondered and glorified God, saying: We never saw the like.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 4:1-5,11

1) ईश्वर के विश्रामस्थान में प्रवेश करने की वह प्रतिज्ञा अब तक कायम है, इसलिए हम सतर्क रहें कि आप लोगों में कोई उस में प्रवेश करने से न रह जाये।

2) हम को उन लोगों की तरह एक मंगलमय समाचार सुनाया गया है। उन लोगों ने जो सन्देश सुना, उन्हें उस से कोई लाभ नहीं हुआ; क्योंकि सुनने वालों में विश्वास का अभाव था।

3) हम विश्वासी बन गये हैं; इसलिए हम उस विश्रामस्थान में प्रवेश करते हैं, जिसके विषय में उसने कहा- मैंने क्रुद्ध होकर यह शपथ खायी: वे मेरे विश्रामस्थान में प्रवेश नहीं करेंगे। ईश्वर का कार्य तो संसार की सृष्टि के समय ही समाप्त हो गया है,

4) क्योंकि धर्मग्रन्थ सातवें दिन के विषय में यह कहता है - ईश्वर ने अपना समस्त कार्य समाप्त कर सातवें दिन विश्राम किया

5) और उपर्युक्त उद्धरण में हम यह पढ़ते हैं - वे मेरे विश्रामस्थान में प्रवेश नहीं करेंगे।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 2:1-12

1) जब कुछ दिनों बाद ईसा कफ़रनाहूम लौटे, तो यह खबर फैल गयी कि वे घर पर हैं

2) और इतने लोग इकट्ठे हो गये कि द्वार के सामने जगह नहीं रही। ईसा उन्हें सुसमाचार सुना ही रहे थे कि

3) कुछ लोग एक अद्र्धांगरोगी को चार आदमियों से उठवा कर उनके पास ले आये।

4) भीड़ के कारण वे उसे ईसा के सामने नहीं ला सके; इसलिए जहाँ ईसा थे, उसके ऊपर की छत उन्होंने खोल दी और छेद से अद्र्धांगरोगी की चारपाई नीचे उतार दी।

5) ईसा ने उन लोगों का विश्वास देख कर अद्र्धांगरोगी से कहा, "बेटा! तुम्हारे पाप क्षमा हो गये हैं"।

6) वहाँ कुछ शास्त्री बैठे हुए थे। वे सोचते थे- यह क्या कहता है?

7) यह ईश-निन्दा करता है। ईश्वर के सिवा कौन पाप क्षमा कर सकता है?

8) ईसा को मालूम था कि वे मन-ही-मन क्या सोच रहे हैं। उन्होंने शास्त्रियों से कहा, "मन-ही-मन क्या सोच रहे हो?

9) अधिक सहज क्या है- अद्र्धांगरोगी से यह कहना, ’तुम्हारे पाप क्षमा हो गये हैं’, अथवा यह कहना, ’उठो, अपनी चारपाई उठा कर चलो-फिरो’?

10) परन्तु इसलिए कि तुम लोग यह जान लो कि मानव पुत्र को पृथ्वी पर पाप क्षमा करने का अधिकार मिला है"- वे अद्र्धांगरोगी से बोले-

11) "मैं तुम से कहता हूँ, उठो और अपनी चारपाई उठा कर घर जाओ"।

12) वह उठ खड़ा हुआ और चारपाई उठा कर तुरन्त सब के देखते-देखते बाहर चला गया। सब-के-सब बड़े अचम्भे में पड़ गये और उन्होंने यह कहते हुए ईश्वर की स्तुति की- हमने ऐसा चमत्कार कभी नहीं देखा।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज हम एक अजीब सा दृश्य देखते हैं जिसमें कुछ लोग एक अर्धांगरोगी को प्रभु येसु के समक्ष लाने की कोशिश करते हैं और घर की छत निकालकर उसमें से उसे प्रभु येसु के सामने नीचे उतार देते हैं, क्योंकि प्रभु येसु के चारों ओर बहुत भीड़ थी। प्रभु येसु उसके पापों को क्षमा करते हैं और उसे चंगा करते हैं। यह एक अलग तरह का चमत्कार है जिसमें प्रभु येसु उस अर्धांगरोगी को दूसरों के विश्वास के कारण चंगा करते हैं। वे लोग उसे क्या सोचकर उसे प्रभु के समक्ष लाए? वे उसे प्रभु येसु के सामने पहुँचाने के लिए इतने उतावले क्यों थे? क्या उन्हें पता था कि वह व्यक्ति पापी था? प्रभु येसु उनके विश्वास की प्रशंसा करते हैं क्योंकि वे लोग जानते थे कि यह व्यक्ति कैसा भी हो लेकिन एक बार इसे अगर ईश्वर के समक्ष पहुँचा दिया जाए, तो प्रभु सब कुछ सम्भाल लेंगे। यह व्यक्ति स्वयं ईश्वर के समक्ष पहुँचने में असमर्थ था।

आज की दुनिया में हम अनेक ऐसे लोगों को देखते हैं जो पूर्ण स्वस्थ होते हुए भी उस अर्धांगरोगी की तरह बन जाते हैं और ईश्वर के सामने नहीं पहुँच पाते। वे अपने सारे काम करते हैं, जीवन में उनका कोई काम नहीं रुकता लेकिन चर्च जाने या प्रार्थना में भाग लेने के नाम पर उन्हें लकवा मार जाता है, वे ईश्वर की उपस्थिति में जाने में असमर्थ हो जाते हैं। ऐसे लोगों को ईश्वर के समक्ष पहुँचाने के लिए दूसरे भले लोगों की ज़रूरत पड़ती है। कभी-कभी दूसरों के विश्वास के द्वारा भी किसी के जीवन में ईश्वर चमत्कार कर सकते हैं। हमें ऐसे लोगों के लिए प्रार्थना करने की ज़रूरत है जो ईश्वर से विमुख हो गए हैं। क्या मालूम हमारे विश्वास के कारण ही ईश्वर उनके पापों को क्षमा कर दे और उन्हें नया जीवन प्रदान कर दे? आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Today we see some people bringing a paralytic man before Jesus through the roof because there were so many people around him, Jesus forgives his sins and heals him. This is perhaps one of its own kind of miracle where this paralytic man is forgiven and healed because of the faith of the men who brought him. What were they thinking? Why did they want this paralytic man to reach Jesus? Did they know about this man being a sinful man? Jesus praises their faith because they knew, whatever maybe the situation of this man but once he reaches before God, then God will take care of everything. This man was unable to reach God by himself.

Today we see many active but paralytic people who are unable to reach before God. They do everything in their life, no work of theirs gets stopped but in the name of going to church or going for prayer, such people become like paralytic, as if unable to reach before God. We need other people to take them to God. Sometimes others faith can gain God’s favour and miracle in someone's life. We need to come forward to pray and intercede for people who have turned away from God. Who knows because of our faith God may forgive their sins and give them new life? Amen.

10 Forty years: for which cause I was offended with this generation, and I said: They always err in heart. And they have not known my ways,

11 As I have sworn in my wrath: If they shall enter into my rest.

12 Take heed, brethren, lest perhaps there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, to depart from the living God.

13 But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called today, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 For we are made partakers of Christ: yet so, if we hold the beginning of his substance firm unto the end.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 95: 6-7c, 8-9, 10-11

6 Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.

43 And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away.

44 And he saith to him: See thou tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the high priest, and offer for thy cleansing the things that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

45 But he being gone out, began to publish and to blaze abroad the word: so that he could not openly go into the city, but was without in desert places: and they flocked to him from all sides.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 3:7-14

7) इसलिए आप पवित्र आत्मा के इस कथन पर ध्यान दें- ओह! यदि तुम आज उसकी यह वाणी सुनो,

8) अपना हृदय कठोर न कर लो, जैसा कि पहले, विद्रोह के समय, हुआ था।

9) उस दिन तुम्हारे पूर्वजों ने मरूभूमि में मुझे चुनौती दी और मेरी परीक्षा ली, यद्यपि उन्होंने चालीस वर्षों तक मेरे कार्य देखे थे।

10) इसलिए मैं उस पीढ़ी पर अप्रसन्न हो गया और मैंने कहा, "उनका हृदय भटकता रहा है। वे मेरे मार्ग जानना नहीं चाहते।"

11) मैंने क्रुद्ध होकर यह शपथ खायी: "वे मेरे विश्रामस्थान में प्रवेश नहीं करेंगे।"

12) भाइयो! आप सावधान रहें। आप लोगों में किसी के मन में इतनी बुराई और अविश्वास न हो कि वह जीवन्त ईश्वर से विमुख हो जाये।

13) जब तक वह ’आज’ बना रहता है, आप लोग प्रतिदिन एक दूसरे को प्रोत्साहन देते जायें, जिससे कोई भी पाप के फन्दे में पड़कर कठोर न बने।

14) हम तो मसीह के भागीदार बन गये हैं, बशर्ते हम अपना प्रारम्भिक विश्वास अन्त तक अक्षुण्ण बनाये रखें।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 1:40-45

40) एक कोढ़ी ईसा के पास आया और घुटने टेक कर उन से अनुनय-विनय करते हुए बोला, "आप चाहें तो मुझे शुद्ध कर सकते हैं"।

41) ईसा को तरस हो आया। उन्होंने हाथ बढ़ाकर यह कहते हुए उसका स्पर्श किया, "मैं यही चाहता हूँ- शुद्ध हो जाओ"।

42) उसी क्षण उसका कोढ़ दूर हुआ और वह शुद्ध हो गया।

43) ईसा ने उसे यह कड़ी चेतावनी देते हुए तुरन्त विदा किया,

44) "सावधान! किसी से कुछ न कहो। जा कर अपने को याजकों को दिखाओ और अपने शुद्धीकरण के लिए मूसा द्वारा निर्धारित भेंट चढ़ाओ, जिससे तुम्हारा स्वास्थ्यलाभ प्रमाणित हो जाये"।

45) परन्तु वह वहाँ से विदा हो कर चारों ओर खुल कर इसकी चर्चा करने लगा। इस से ईसा के लिए प्रकट रूप से नगरों में जाना असम्भव हो गया; इसलिए वह निर्जन स्थानों में रहते थे फिर भी लोग चारों ओर से उनके पास आते थे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु एक कोढ़ी को चंगा करते हैं और इसके बारे में उससे चुप रहने के लिए कहते हैं, लेकिन वह जाकर चारों तरफ़ इसको बता देता है। चंगा होने से पहले वह कोढ़ी बड़ी पीड़ा में था। उसकी सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत अपनी उस बीमारी से छुटकारा पाने की थी। अगर वह अपनी उस बीमारी छुटकारा पा लेता है तो उसका जीवन, उसका संसार बदल जाएगा, इसलिए उसने प्रभु से आग्रह किया कि वह उसे चंगा कर दे। उसने ईश्वर से दया और करुणा की भीख माँगी और और प्रभु येसु ने उसे चंगा किया। प्रभु येसु ने उसकी सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत और इच्छा को पूरा किया जिसने उस कोढ़ी के जीवन और संसार को बदल दिया। भले ही प्रभु येसु इसके बारे में कुछ कहने से मना किया था लेकिन वह जाता है, और सबको इसके बारे में बताता है और ईश्वर की महिमा करता है। ईश्वर ने जो उसके लिए किया है वह उसके आनन्द को दबा नहीं पाता है।

बहुत सारे ऐसे लोग हैं जो अपनी बड़ी से बड़ी पीड़ाओं और मनोकामनाओं को प्रभु के समक्ष रखते हैं। बहुत लोग जो ईश्वर से माँगते हैं वह उन्हें मिल भी जाता है, लेकिन बहुत कम लोग होंगे जो इसके बारे में ईश्वर की महिमा करते होंगे या उनके जीवन में ईश्वर के कार्यों का साक्ष्य देते होंगे। ईश्वर ने जो भी उनके लिए किया है, वे उसके बारे में चुपचाप रहते हैं। ईश्वर ने हम में से प्रत्येक पर अनेक आशीष और कृपायें प्रदान की हैं। हममें से कितने लोग हैं जो ईश्वर से पाए वरदानों के लिए उसकी महिमा करते हैं?

📚 REFLECTION

Jesus heals a leper today and tells him not to tell anybody, but he goes and proclaims everywhere. The leper was in great misery before being healed. His most urgent need was the healing from his disease. His life, his world would change if he was healed of his disease, and requested the Lord, to heal him. He asked for God’s mercy and Jesus healed him. Jesus fulfilled his most urgent need and desire which changed the leper's life and world. Even Jesus told him not to tell anything about it, he goes all around and proclaims and glorifies God. He can't hold back the joy of what God has done for him.

There are innumerable people who put forward their prayers and petitions of urgent need before the Lord. Many of them have joy of receiving what they asked God, but many do not glorify God or bear witness before others of what God has done. Today they keep silence about what God has done for them. First Reading: Hebrews 2: 14-18

14 Therefore because the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner hath been partaker of the same: that, through death, he might destroy him who had the empire of death, that is to say, the devil:

15 And might deliver them, who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to servitude.

16 For no where doth he take hold of the angels: but of the seed of Abraham he taketh hold.

17 Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful priest before God, that he might be a propitiation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that, wherein he himself hath suffered and been tempted, he is able to succour them also that are tempted.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 105: 1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9

1 Alleluia. Give glory to the Lord, and call upon his name: declare his deeds among the Gentiles.

2 Sing to him, yea sing praises to him: relate all his wondrous works.

Gospel: Mark 1: 29-39

29 And immediately going out of the synagogue they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

30 And Simon’s wife’s mother lay in a fit of a fever: and forthwith they tell him of her.

31 And coming to her, he lifted her up, taking her by the hand; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

32 And when it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all that were ill and that were possessed with devils.

33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.

34 And he healed many that were troubled with divers diseases; and he cast out many devils, and he suffered them not to speak, because they knew him.

35 And rising very early, going out, he went into a desert place: and there he prayed.

36 And Simon, and they that were with him, followed after him.

37 And when they had found him, they said to him: All seek for thee.

38 And he saith to them: Let us go into the neighbouring towns and cities, that I may preach there also; for to this purpose am I come.

39 And he was preaching in their synagogues, and in all Galilee, and casting out devils.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 2:14-18

14) परिवार के सभी सदस्यों का रक्तमास एक ही होता है, इसलिए वह भी हमारी ही तरह मनुष्य बन गये, जिससे वह अपनी मृत्यु द्वारा मृत्यु पर अधिकार रखने वाले शैतान को परास्त करें

15) और दासता में जीवन बिताने वाले मनुष्यों को मृत्यु के भय से मुक्त कर दें।

16) वह स्वर्गदूतों की नहीं, बल्कि इब्राहीम के वंशजों की सुध लेते हैं।

17) इसलिए यह आवश्यक था कि वह सभी बातों में अपने भाइयों के सदृश बन जायें, जिससे वह ईश्वर -सम्बन्धी बातों में मनुष्यों के दयालु और ईमानदार प्रधानयाजक के रूप में उनके पापों का प्रायश्चित कर सकें।

18) उनकी परीक्षा ली गयी है और उन्होंने स्वयं दुःख भोगा है, इसलिए वह परीक्षा में दुःख भोगने वालों की सहायता कर सकते हैं।

सुसमाचार : मारकुस 1:29-39

29) वे सभागृह से निकल कर याकूब और योहन के साथ सीधे सिमोन और अन्द्रेयस के घर गये।

30) सिमोन की सास बुख़ार में पड़ी हुई थी। लोगों ने तुरन्त उसके विषय में उन्हें बताया।

31) ईसा उसके पास आये और उन्होंने हाथ पकड़ कर उसे उठाया। उसका बुख़ार जाता रहा और वह उन लोगों के सेवा-सत्कार में लग गयी।

32) सन्ध्या समय, सूरज डूबने के बाद, लोग सभी रोगियों और अपदूतग्रस्तों को उनके पास ले आये।

33) सारा नगर द्वार पर एकत्र हो गया।

34) ईसा ने नाना प्रकार की बीमारियों से पीडि़त बहुत-से रोगियों को चंगा किया और बहुत-से अपदूतों को निकाला। वे अपदूतों को बोलने से रोकते थे, क्योंकि वे जानते थे कि वह कौन हैं।

35) दूसरे दिन ईसा बहुत सबेरे उठ कर घर से निकले और किसी एकान्त स्थान जा कर प्रार्थना करते रहे।

36) सिमोन और उसके साथी उनकी खोज में निकले

37) और उन्हें पाते ही यह बोले, "सब लोग आप को खोज रहे हैं"।

38) ईसा ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, "हम आसपास के कस्बों में चलें। मुझे वहाँ भी उपदेश देना है- इसीलिए तो आया हूँ।"

39) और वे उनके सभागृहों में उपदेश देते और अपदूतों को निकलाते हुए सारी गलीलिया में घूमते रहते थे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

हमारे रोग और बीमारियाँ हमारी उस छवि को कुरूपित करती हैं जिसमें ईश्वर ने हमें बनाया है। प्रभु येसु ईश्वर की उसी छवि को फिर से स्थापित करने के आए। आज हम मनन-चिंतन करते हैं कि किस तरह प्रभु येसु अनेक लोगों को उनकी बीमारीयों और रोगों से चंगा करते हैं और उन्हें शैतान के चंगुल से मुक्त करते हैं। और हम देखते हैं कि बड़े सवेरे ही वह उठकर एकांत में जाते हैं और वहाँ प्रार्थना में समय बिताते हैं। एक तरफ़ तो हम देखते हैं कि प्रभु येसु लोगों की भीड़ के बीच व्यस्त रहते हैं, वहीं दूसरी ओर हम देखते हैं कि वही प्रभु एकांत में प्रार्थना भी करने जाते हैं। एक तरफ़ व्यस्त जीवन दूसरी तरफ़ प्रार्थनामय जीवन।

हमारा काम और प्रार्थना एक ही सिक्के के दो पहलू हैं। आज की दुनिया बहुत व्यस्त हो गई है, लोगों को अगर आज की भाग-दौड़ में बने रहना है तो एक कदम आगे रहना पड़ेगा। हम जीवन की भाग-दौड़ में बहुत अधिक व्यस्त हो जाते हैं। हमारी ज़रूरतें और इच्छाएँ खतम नहीं होती हैं। जब एक इच्छा पूरी होती है, दूसरी जन्म ले लेती है। आज प्रभु येसु हमें यह संदेश देते हैं कि हम जीवन में चाहे कितने भी व्यस्त ना हो जाएँ, तो भी हमें प्रार्थना द्वारा ईश्वर के साथ अपने सम्बन्ध को मज़बूत करने के लिए समय निकालने की ज़रूरत है। प्रार्थना और ईश्वर की आशीष के बिना हमारा परिश्रम व्यर्थ है। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Our sicknesses and infirmities distort the image and likeness in which we are created by God. Jesus came to restore the same image. Today we reflect about how Jesus heals many people of many sicknesses and infirmities and people flock to him with their sicknesses and he heals them and casts out Demons. Early in the morning he goes to a deserted place and there he prays. On the one hand we see Jesus busy doing his work amidst the crowds and on the other hand we see same Jesus going to a private place to pray.

Work and prayer go hand-in-hand. Today world is very competitive, people have to be one step ahead if they have to keep themselves up in the race. We are very busy in making a life for ourselves. Our needs and desires don't seem to end. When one desire is fulfilled, another comes up. Today Jesus gives us the message, that even if we are dead busy in our day-to-day life we still need to take out time to renew our relationship with God through prayers. Without prayer and God’s blessings our hard work and labour will be meaningless and fruitless. Amen.
