चालीसे का दूसरा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : उत्पत्ति 37:3-4,12-13, 17-28

3) इस्राएल अपने सब दूसरे पुत्रों से यूसुफ़ को अधिक प्यार करता था, क्योंकि वह उसके बुढ़ापे की सन्तान था। उसने यूसुफ़ के लिए एक सुन्दर कुरता बनवाया था।

4) उसके भाइयों ने देखा कि हमारा पिता हमारे सब भाइयों से यूसुफ़ को अधिक प्यार करता है; इसलिए वे उस से बैर करने लगे और उस से अच्छी तरह बात भी नहीं करते थे।

12) यूसुफ़ के भाई अपने पिता की भेड़ बकरियाँ चराने सिखेम गये थे।

13) इस्राएल ने यूसुफ़ से कहा, ''तुम्हारे भाई सिखेम में भेडें चरा रहे है। मैं तुम को उनके पास भेजना चाहता हूँ।'' उसने उस को उत्तर दिया, ''जो आज्ञा।''

17) उस व्यक्ति ने उत्तर दिया, ''यहाँ से वे आगे बढ़ गये, क्योंकि मैंने उन को यह कहते हुए सुना था कि हम दोतान चलें।'' यूसुफ़ अपने भाइयों की खोज में निकला और उसने उन को दोतान में पाया।

18) उन्होंने उसे दूर से आते देखा था और उसके पहुँचने से पहले ही वे उसे मार डालने का षड्यन्त्र रचने लगे।

19) उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा, ''देखो, वह स्वप्नदृष्टा आ रहा है।

20) चलो, हम उसे मार कर किसी कुएँ में फेंक दें। हम यह कहेंगे कि कोई हिंस्र पशु उसे खा गया है। तब हम देखेंगे कि उसके स्वप्न उसके किस काम आते हैं।''

21) रूबेन यह सुन कर उसे उनके हाथों से बचाने के उद्देश्य से बोला, ''हम उसकी हत्या न करें।''

22) तब रूबेन ने फिर कहा, ''तुम उसका रक्त नहीं बहाओ। उसे मरूभूमि के कुएँ में फेंक दो, किन्तु उस पर हाथ मत लगाओ।'' वह उसे उनके हाथों से बचा कर पिता के पास पहुँचा देना चाहता था।

23) इसलिए ज्यों ही यूसुफ़ अपने भाइयों के पास पहुँचा, उन्होंने उसका सुन्दर कुरता उतारा और उसे पकड़ कर कुएँ में फेंक दिया।

24) वह कुआँ सूखा हुआ था, उस में पानी नहीं था।

25) इसके बाद से वे बैठ कर भोजन करने लगे। उन्होंने आँखें ऊपर उठा कर देखा कि इसमाएलियों का एक कारवाँ गिलआद से आ रहा है। वे ऊँटों पर गोंद, बलसाँ और गन्धरस लादे हुए मिस्र देश जा रहे थे।

26) तब यूदा ने अपने भाइयों से कहा, ''अपने भाई को मारने और उसका रक्त छिपाने से हमें क्या लाभ होगा?

27) आओ, हम उसे इसमाएलियों के हाथ बेच दें और उस पर हाथ नहीं लगायें; क्योंकि वह तो हमारा भाई और हमारा रक्तसम्बन्धी है।'' उसके भाइयों ने उसकी बात मान ली।

28) उस समय मिदयानी व्यापारी उधर से निकले। उन्होंने यूसुफ़ को कुएँ से निकाला और उसे चाँदी के बीस सिक्कों में इसमाएलियों के हाथ बेच दिया और वे यूसुफ़ को मिस्र देश ले गये।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मत्ती का सुसमाचार 21:33-43,45-46

33) "एक दूसरा दृष्टान्त सुनो। किसी भूमिधर ने दाख की बारी लगवायी, उसके चारों ओर घेरा बनवाया, उस में रस का कुण्ड खुदवाया और पक्का मचान बनवाया। तब उसे असामियों को पट्ठे पर दे कर वह परदेश चला गया।

34) फसल का समय आने पर उसने फसल का हिस्सा वसूल करने के लिए असामियों के पास अपने नौकरों को भेजा।

35) किन्तु असामियों ने उसके नौकरों को पकड़ कर उन में से किसी को मारा-पीटा, किसी की हत्या कर दी और किसी को पत्थरों से मार डाला।

36) इसके बाद उसने पहले से अधिक नौकरों को भेजा और असामियों ने उनके साथ भी वैसा ही किया।

37) अन्त में उसने यह सोच कर अपने पुत्र को उनके पास भेजा कि वे मेरे पूत्र का आदर करेंगे।

38) किन्तु पुत्र को देख कर असामियों ने एक दूसरे से कहा, ’यह तो उत्तराधिकारी है। चलो, हम इसे मार डालें और इसकी विरासत पर कब्जा कर लें।’

39) उन्होंने उसे पकड़ लिया और दाखबारी से बाहर निकाल कर मार डाला।

40) जब दाखबारी का स्वामी लौटेगा, तो वह उन असामियों का क्या करेगा?"

41) उन्होंने ईसा से कहा, "वह उन दृष्टों का सर्वनाश करेगा और अपनी दाखबारी का पट्ठा दूसरे असामियों को देगा, जो समय पर फसल का हिस्सा देते रहेंगे"।

42) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "क्या तुम लोगों ने धर्मग्रन्थ में कभी यह नहीं पढा? करीगरों ने जिस पत्थर को बेकार समझ कर निकाल दिया था, वही कोने का पत्थर बन गया है। यह प्रभु का कार्य है। यह हमारी दृष्टि में अपूर्व है।

43) इसलिए मैं तुम लोगों से कहता हूँ- स्वर्ग का राज्य तुम से ले लिया जायेगा और ऐसे राष्ट्रों को दिया जायेगा, जो इसका उचित फल उत्पन्न करेगा।

45) महायाजक और फरीसी उनके दृष्टान्त सुन कर समझ गये कि वह हमारे विषय में कह रहे हैं।

46) वे उन्हें गिरफ्तार करना चाहते थे, किन्तु वे जनता से डरते थे; क्योंकि वह ईसा को नबी मानती थी।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

हम सभी ईश्वर द्वारा लगाया गया दाख की बारी के समान है। जिस प्रकार भूमिधर ने दाख की बारी के चारों ओर घेरा बनवाया, उस के रस का कुण्ड खुदवाया और पक्का मचान बनवाया, उसी प्रकार हमारे जीवन को फलदायी बनाने केलिए ईश्वर ने हमें सबकुछ प्रदान किया है; हमें अपना प्रतिरुप बनाया, हमें अलग पहचान दिया संत पौलुस कहते है धन्य है हमारे प्रभु ईसा मसीह का ईश्वर और पिता, उसने मसीह द्वारा हम लोगों को स्वर्ग के हर प्रकार के आध्यात्मिक वरदान प्रदान किये हैं। (एफेसियों 1:3)

जिस प्रकार याकूब ने यूसुफ को अधिक प्यार किया उसी प्रकार पिता ईश्वर हम सभी को अधिक प्यार करते है। हम सब ईश्वर की दृष्टि में मूल्यवान है और महत्व रखते है और ईश्वर हमें प्यार करते है (इसायाह 43:4) संत योहन कहते कि जिस प्रकार पिता ईश्वर येसु को प्यार करते है उसी प्रकार पिता ईश्वर हमें भी प्यार करते है (योहन 17:23) और वही ईश्वर हमसे उम्मीद करते है कि हम जीवन में अच्छी फ़सल लाये। अगर हम अच्छी फसल न लाये तो प्रभु यह पूछंेगे - कौन बात ऐसी थी, जो मैं अपनी दाखबारी के लिए कर सकता था और जिसे मैंने उसके लिए नहीं किया? मुझे अच्छी फसल की आशा थी, उसने खट्टे अंगूर क्यों पैदा किये? (इसायाह 5:4) फलहीन अंजीर के पेड़ के दृष्टान्त में येसु कहते है कि किसी मनुष्य की दाखबारी में एक अंजीर का पेड़ था। वह उस में फल खोजने आया, परन्तु उसे एक भी नहीं मिला। तब उसने दाखबारी के माली से कहा, देखो मैं तीन वर्षों से अंजीर के इस पेड़ में फल खोजने आता हॅू, किन्तु मुझे एक भी नहीं मिलता। इसे काट डालो। यह भूमि को क्यों छेंके हुए है? (लूकस 13:6-7)

आईए हम ईश्वर से प्राप्त सभी वरदान केलिए ईश्वर को धन्यवाद दे। हमारा जीवन अनमोल है और समय बहुमूल्य है । यह समझते हुए हम हमारे जीवन में प्राप्त सभी वरदानों का सही रुप में इस्तेमाल करते हुए हमारे जीवन में उत्तम फल लाये। इसकेलिए हम हमारे ह्रदय को शुद्व रखे। जैसे की वचन कहता है जो अच्छी भूमि में बोया गया हैः यह वह है, जो वचन सूनता और समझता है और फल लाता है- कोई सौ गुना, कोई साठ गुना और कोई तीस गुना। (मत्ती 13:23) यह याद रखें कि उत्तम फसल लाये बिना, हम अनंतजीवन का उत्ताराधिकारी नहीं बन सकते।

📚 REFLECTION

We all are the vineyards planted by the Lord. As the landowner put a fence around the vineyard, dug a wine press in it and built a watchtower so also in order our life to be fruitful God has arranged everything for us; he created us in his likeness, he gave us uniqueness. St. Paul says blessed be the God and Father of our lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every blessing in the heavenly places (Eph 1:3)

As Jacob loved Joseph the most so also God is passionately and individually loving each one of us. Isa 43:4 you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you. St. John says that God the Father loves us as he loves Jesus (Jn 17:23). And this God expects that all of us bear good fruits in our life. In Isa 5:4 when God came to gather grapes he got sour ones. So God says what more was there to do for my vineyard that I have not done in it? When I expected it to yield grapes, why did it yield wild grapes? In Lk 13:6-7 Jesus says a man had a fig tree planted in this vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and found none. So he said to the gardener, see here for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and still I find none. Cut it down, why should it be wasting the soil?

Come let us thank God for all the graces we have received from him. Our life is precious and time is valuable. By making use of all the blessings received from God let us bring forth fruits in abundance. For this let us clean our hearts. Because the Word of God says- in Mt 13:23 But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty. Remember that without bringing fruits in plenty we cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

चालीसे का दूसरा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : यिरमियाह 17:5-10

5) प्रभु यह कहता है: “धिक्कार उस मनुष्य को, जो मनुष्य पर भरोसा रखता है, जो निरे मनुष्य का सहारा लेता है और जिसका हृदय प्रभु से विमुख हो जाता है!

6) वह मरुभूमि के पौधे के सदृश है, जो कभी अच्छे दिन नहीं देखता। वह मरुभूमि के उत्तप्त स्थानों में- नुनखरी और निर्जन धरती पर रहता है।

7) धन्य है वह मनुष्य, जो प्रभु पर भरोसा रखता है, जो प्रभु का सहारा लेता है।

8) वह जलस्रोत के किनारे लगाये हुए वृक्ष के सदृश हैं, जिसकी जड़ें पानी के पास फैली हुई हैं। वह कड़ी धूप से नहीं डरता- उसके पत्ते हरे-भरे बने रहते हैं। सूखे के समय उसे कोई चिंता नहीं होती क्योंकि उस समय भी वह फलता हैं।“

9) मनुष्य का हृदय सब से अधिक कपटी और अविश्वसनीय हैं। उसकी थाह कौन ले सकता है?

10) “मैं प्रभु, मनुष्य का हृदय और अन्तरतम जानता हूँ। मैं हर एक को उसके आचरण और उसके कर्मों का फल देता हूँ“।

सुसमाचार : सन्त लूकस का सुसमाचार 16:19-31

19) "एक अमीर था, जो बैंगनी वस्त्र और मलमल पहन कर प्रतिदिन दावत उड़ाया करता था।

20) उसके फाटक पर लाज़रूस नामक कंगाल पड़ा रहता था, जिसका शरीर फोड़ों से भरा हुआ था।

21) वह अमीर की मेज़ की जूठन से अपनी भूख मिटाने के लिए तरसता था और कुत्ते आ कर उसके फोड़े चाटा करते थे।

22) वह कंगाल एक दिन मर गया और स्वर्गदूतों ने उसे ले जा कर इब्राहीम की गोद में रख दिया। अमीर भी मरा और दफ़नाया गया।

23) उसने अधोलोक में यन्त्रणाएँ सहते हुए अपनी आँखें ऊपर उठा कर दूर ही से इब्राहीम को देखा और उसकी गोद में लाज़रूस को भी।

24) उसने पुकार कर कहा, ‘पिता इब्राहीम! मुझ पर दया कीजिए और लाज़रुस को भेजिए, जिससे वह अपनी उँगली का सिरा पानी में भिगो कर मेरी जीभ ठंडी करे, क्योंकि मैं इस ज्वाला में तड़प रहा हूँ’।

25) इब्राहीम ने उस से कहा, ‘बेटा, याद करो कि तुम्हें जीवन में सुख-ही-सुख मिला था और लाज़रुस को दुःख-ही-दुःख। अब उसे यहाँ सान्त्वना मिल रही है और तुम्हें यन्त्रणा।

26) इसके अतिरिक्त हमारे और तुम्हारे बीच एक भारी गत्र्त अवस्थित है; इसलिए यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास जाना भी चाहे, तो वह नहीं जा सकता और कोई भ़ी वहाँ से इस पार नहीं आ सकता।’

27) उसने उत्तर दिया, ’पिता! आप से एक निवेदन है। आप लाज़रुस को मेरे पिता के घर भेजिए,

28) क्योंकि मेरे पाँच भाई हैं। लाज़रुस उन्हें चेतावनी दे। कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वे भी यन्त्रणा के इस स्थान में आ जायें।’

29) इब्राहीम ने उस से कहा, ‘मूसा और नबियों की पुस्तकें उनके पास है, वे उनकी सुनें‘।

30) अमीर ने कहा, ‘पिता इब्राहीम! वे कहाँ सुनते हैं! परन्तु यदि मुरदों में से कोई उनके पास जाये, तो वे पश्चात्ताप करेंगे।’

31) पर इब्राहीम ने उस से कहा, ‘जब वे मूसा और नबियों की नहीं सुनते, तब यदि मुरदों में से कोई जी उठे, तो वे उसकी बात भी नहीं मानेंगे’।’

📚 मनन-चिंतन

हमारे आध्यात्मिक जीवन में हमेशा हरा भरा रहने केलिए हमें ईश्वर पर भरोसा रखते हुए जीवन बिताना होगा। आज के पहले पाठ में इसी को समर्थन देते हुए नबी यिरमियाह कहते है कि जो प्रभु पर भरोसा रखता है, जो प्रभु का सहारा लेता है वह जलस्रोत के किनारे लगाये हूए वृक्ष के सदृश है, जिसकी जड़े पानी के पास फेली हुई हैं। वह कड़ी धूप से नहीं डरता- उसके पत्ते हरे-भरे बने रहते हैं। सूखे के समय उसे कोई चिन्ता नहीं होती, क्योंकि उस समय भी वह फलता है। (यिरमियाह 17:7-8) स्तोत्र ग्रन्थ में कहते है धर्मी खजूर की तरह फलता-फूलता और लेबनोन के देवदार की तरह बढता है। वे प्रभु के मन्दिर में रोपे गये है, वे हमारे ईश्वर के प्रागण में फलते-फूलते है। वे लम्बी आयु में भी फलदार है। वे रसदार और हरे-भरे रहते है। (स्तोत्र 92:13-15); जो प्रभु का नियम ह्रदय से चाहता और दिन-रात उसका मनन करता है वह उस वृक्ष के सदृश है, जो जलस्रोत के पास लगाया गया, जो समय पर फल देता है, जिसके पत्ते कभी मुरझाते नहीं। (स्तोत्र 1:2-3)

हमारे जीवन काल में हम संसार के वस्तुवों पर या मनुष्यों पर भरोसा न रखे क्योंकि वे सब हमें बचाने में असमर्थ है। वचन कहता है न तो शासकों का भरोसा करो और न किसी मनुष्य का, जो बचाने में असमर्थय हैं। वे प्राण निकलते ही मिट्टि में मिल जाते हैं और उसी दिन उनकी सब योजनाएॅ व्यर्थ हा जाती है। (स्तोत्र 146:3-4) इसलिए मनुष्यों पर भरोसा रखने की अपेक्षा प्रभु की शरण जाना अच्छा है। शासकों पर भरोसा रखने की अपेक्षा प्रभु की शरण जाना अच्छा है। (स्तोत्र 118:8-9) आज के सुसमाचार में हमने देख कि संसार के वस्तुवों पर भरोसा रखने से उस धनी व्यक्ति कैसे स्वर्ग राज्य में प्रवेश करने से वंचीत होगये।

संत पौलूस कहते है आपने ईसा मसीह को प्रभु के रुप में स्वीकार किया है; इसलिए उन्हीं से संयुक्त हो कर जीवन बितायें। उन्हीं में आपकी जड़ें गहरी हों और नींव सुदृढ़ हो। (कलोसियों 2:6-7) येसु कहते है कि मैं दाखलता हॅू और तुम डालियॉ हो। जो मुझ में रहता है और मैं जिस में रहता हॅू, वही बहुत फलता है; क्योंकि मुझ से अलग रह कर तुम कुछ भी नहीं कर सकते। (योहन 15:5) होसाया 14:8 मुझ से ही उसे फल मिलते है। हॉ प्रभु से जुडे रहने से हमारे जीवन का फल में परिवर्तन आयेगा;फल बडा होगा, फल का स्वाद बढे़ग, फल का संख्या बढेगी, फल का रंग और सुगंध बढेगा। इसलीए आईए हम जीवन के हर मौसम में ईश्वर के जुड़े रहकर जीवन व्यतित करें ताकी हमारा जीवन हर पल फलदायी रहे।

📚 REFLECTION

In our spiritual life in order to remain fresh we need to remain in the Lord. In the first reading Jeremiah affirms this and says “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit. (Jer 17:7-8) Psalm 92:13-15 says “They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap showing that the Lord is upright; he is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him.” Ps 1:2-3 but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.

In our life here on earth let’s not put our trust in the persons of this world and the things of this world, because they are unable to save us. The word of God says Ps 146:3-4 “Do not put your trust in princes, in mortals, in whom there is no help. When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day their plans perish”. Ps 118:8-9 “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes”. In today’s gospel we read what happened to that rich man who put trust in material things. He had to go to hell after his life here on earth.

In Col 2:6-7 St. Paul says as you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Jesus says in Jn 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. In Hosea 14:8 the Lord says your fruitfulness comes from me

Let’s be rooted in Jesus then there will be difference in our fruits. The size of the fruits will change, the color, taste, smell, number of our fruits will change. Therefore lets be rooted in Jesus in all seasons of our life so that our life may become fruitful.

19 Give heed to me, O Lord, and hear the voice of my adversaries.

20 Shall evil be rendered for good, because they have digged a pit for my soul? Remember that I have stood in thy sight, so speak good for them, and turn away thy indignation from them.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 31: 5-6, 14, 15-16

19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked, and scourged, and crucified, and the third day he shall rise again.

20 Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, adoring and asking something of him.

21 Who said to her: What wilt thou? She saith to him: Say that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy kingdom.

22 And Jesus answering, said: You know not what you ask. Can you drink the chalice that I shall drink? They say to him: We can.

23 He saith to them: My chalice indeed you shall drink; but to sit on my right or left hand, is not mine to give to you, but to them for whom it is prepared by my Father.

24 And the ten hearing it, were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jesus called them to him, and said: You know that the princes of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that are the greater, exercise power upon them.

चालीसे का दूसरा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : यिरमियाह 18:18-20

18) वे कहते हैं, “आओ! हम यिरमियाह के विरुद्ध षड्यन्त्र रचें। पुरोहितों से शिक्षा मिलती रहती है, बुद्धिमानों से सत्यपरामर्श और नबियों से भवियवाणी। आओ! हम उस पर झूठा आरोप लगायें, हम उसकी किसी भी बात पर ध्यान न दें।“

19) प्रभु! तू मेरी पुकार सुन, मेरे अभियोक्ताओं की बातों पर ध्यान दे।

20) क्या भलाई के बदले बुराई करना उचित है? वे मेरे लिए गड्ढा खोदते हैं। याद कर कि मैं उनके पक्ष में बोलने और उन पर से तेरा क्रोध दूर करने के लिए तेरे सामने खड़ा रहा।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मत्ती का सुसमाचार 20:17-28

17) ईसा येरुसालेम के मार्ग पर आगे बढ रहे थे। बारहों को अलग ले जा कर उन्होंने रास्ते में उन से कहा,

18) "देखो, हम येरुसालेम जा रहे हैं। मानव पुत्र महायाजकों और शास्त्रियों के हवाले कर दिया जायेगा।

19) वे उसे प्राणदण्ड की आज्ञा सुना कर गैर-यहूदियों के हवाले कर देंगे, जिससे वे उसका उपहास करें, उसे कोडे़ लगायें और क्रूस पर चढायें; लेकिन तीसरे दिन वह जी उठेगा।"

20) उस समय जेबेदी के पुत्रों की माता अपने पुत्रों के साथ ईसा के पास आयी और उसने दण्डवत् कर उन से एक निवेदन करना चाहा।

21) ईसा ने उस से कहा, "क्या चाहती हो?" उसने उत्तर दिया, "ये मेरे दो बेटे हैं। आप आज्ञा दीजिए कि आपके राज्य में एक आपके दायें बैठे और एक आपके बायें।"

22) ईसा ने उन से कहा, "तुम नहीं जानते कि क्या माँग रहे हो। जो प्याला मैं पीने वाला हूँ, क्या तुम उसे पी सकते हो?" उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, "हम पी सकते हैं।"

23) इस पर ईसा ने उन से कहा, "मेरा प्याला तुम पिओगे, किन्तु तुम्हें अपने दायें या बायें बैठने का अधिकार मेरा नहीं है। वे स्थान उन लोगों के लिए हैं, जिनके लिए मेरे पिता ने उन्हें तैयार किया है।"

24) जब दस प्रेरितों को यह मालूम हुआ, तो वे दोनों भाइयों पर क्रुद्ध हो गये।

25) ईसा ने अपने शिष्यों को अपने पास बुला कर कहा, "तुम जानते हो कि संसार के अधिपति अपनी प्रजा पर निरंकुश शासन करते हैं और सत्ताधारी लोगों पर अधिकार जताते हैं।

26) तुम में ऐसी बात नहीं होगी। जो तुम लोगों में बडा होना चाहता है, वह तुम्हारा सेवक बने

27) और जो तुम में प्रधान होना चाहता है, वह तुम्हारा दास बने;

28) क्योंकि मानव पुत्र भी अपनी सेवा कराने नहीं, बल्कि सेवा करने तथा बहुतों के उद्धार के लिए अपने प्राण देने आया है।"

📚 मनन-चिंतन

ईश्वर की सेवा करने का मतलब यह है कि अत्यचार का सामना करना। इस दुनिया में जितनोंने निस्वर्थ रीती से ईश्वर की सेवा की हो, उन्हें अत्याचार का सामना करना पडा है। आज के पहले पाठ में हम पढते है कि जब यिरमियाह ईमानदारी से ईश्वर की बात रखते है तो अधर्मि लोग यिरमियाह के विरुद्ध षडयन्त्र रचते हैं। आज के सुसमाचार में भी येसु इस बात को रखते हुए कहते है कि उनको महायाजकों और शास्त्रियों द्वारा दुःख दर्द सहना पडेगा। इसका समर्थन करते हुए संत पौलूस कहते है कि वास्तव में जो लोग मसीह के शिष्य बन कर भक्तिपूर्वक जीवन बिताना चाहेंगे, उन सबों को अत्यचार सहना ही पडे़गा। (2 तिमथी 3:12); आपके यहॉ रहते समय हम आप से कहा करते थे कि विपत्तियॉ हम पर आ पडेगी (1 थेसलनीहकियों 3:4)। येसु ने भी कहा है मत्ती10:22 मेरे नाम के कारण सब लोग तुमसे बैर करेंगे, किन्तु जो अन्त तक धीर बना रहेगा, उसे मुक्ति मिलेगी।

इस कारण से ईश्वर की सेवा करने से हम पीछे न हटे। ईश्वर की सेवा करते हुए अत्यचार सहन्ना सौभाग्य की बात है क्योंकि इसके द्वारा ही हमें अन्नंत जीवन प्राप्त होते हैं। संत पौलूस कहते है कि कोई भी इन विपत्तियों के कारण विचलित न हो। आप लोग जानते हैं कि यही हमारे भाग्य में है (1 थेसलनीकियों 3:3)। येसु स्वयं कहते है धन्य हो तुम, जब लोग मेरे कारण तुम्हारा अपमान करते हैं, तुम पर अत्याचार करते और तरह तरह के झूठे दोष लगाते हैं। खुश हो और आनन्द मनाओ स्वर्ग में तुम्हें महान पुरस्कार प्राप्त होगा। (मत्ती 5:11-12)

अगर हमारा जीवन सबसे सुन्दर बनाना है तो हमें ईश्वर केलिए, ईश्वर के राज्य के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित करना होगा। जीवन देने वाला ईश्वर है इसलिए उनको ही देना सबसे उत्तम है। येसु ने कहा है कि जो मेरा अनुसरण करना चाहता है, वह आत्मत्याग करे और अपना क्रुस उठाकर मेरे पीछे हो ले; क्योंकि जो अपना जीवन सुरक्षित रखना चाहता है, वह उसे खो देगा और जो मेरे कारण अपना जीवन खो देता है, वह उसे सुरक्षित रखेगा। (मत्ती 16:24-25) संत पौलूस कहते है- किन्तु मेरी दृष्टि में मेरे जीवन का कोई मूल्य नहीं। मैं तो केवल अपनी दौड समाप्त करना और ईश्वर की कृपा का सुसमाचार सुनाने का वह कार्य पूरा करना चाहता हॅू, जिसे प्रभु ईसा ने मुझे सौंपा। (प्रेरित चरित 20:24) हम भी इसी मनोभाव के साथ हमारा जीवन को चलाये। प्रभु येसु का यह कथन याद रखना उचित हागा - जब तक गेहॅू का दाना मिट्टी में गिर कर नहीं मर जाता, तब तक वह अकेला ही रहता है; परन्तु यदि वह मर जाता है, तो बहुत फल देता है। जो अपने जीवन को प्यार करता है, वह उसका सर्वनाश करता है और जो इस संसार में अपने जीवन से बैर करता है, वह उसे अनन्त जीवन केलिए सुरक्षित रखता है। (योहन 12:24-25)

इसलिए हम अत्यचार से न डरें, बल्कि ईश्वर के लिए उनके राज्य केलिए अपना जीवन पूर्ण रुप से समर्पित करते हुए जीवन में आगे बढ़े। अगर ऐसा जीवन बिताये तो हम भी संत पौलूस के समान कह पायेंगे - मैं प्रभु को अर्पित किया जा रहा हॅू। मेरे चले जाने का समय आ गया है। मैं अच्छी लडाई लड़ चुका हॅू, अपनी दौड पूरी कर चुका हॅू और पूर्ण रुप से ईमानदार रहा हॅू। (2तिमथी 4:6-7)

📚 REFLECTION

To serve the Lord is to face persecution. In this world all those who have served God sincerely they all had to face persecution. In today’s first reading we hear that when Jeremiah served the Lord by speaking the truth, his adversaries plotted against him to kill him. In the gospel also we hear Jesus saying that he came to do the will of God for that He will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death. St. Paul affirms in 2Tim 3:12 by saying indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. In 1 Thes 3:4 says In fact, when we were with you , we told you beforehand that we were to suffer persecution. Jesus also said the same thing to his disciples that you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved (Mt 10:22).

Because of this we should not withdraw from serving the Lord. It is a blessed thing to suffer for having served the Lord, because it through that we receive the eternal reward. St. Paul says in 2Tim 1:12 for this reason I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that day what I have entrusted to him. “so that no one would be shaken by these persecutions. Indeed, you yourselves know that this is what we are destined for” (1Thess 3:3). In Mat 5:11-12 Jesus says- Blessed are you when people revile ou and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you’.

If we want to make our life most beautiful then we need to offer our life for Jesus and for his kingdom. God is the giver of life, therefore it is fitting to give that life to him. Jesus himself says in Mt 16:24-25 if any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. St. Paul says in Acts 20:24 But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.

Let’s also with this mind set run our life for Jesus. It is fitting to remember Jesus words- Jn 12:24-25very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies it remains just a single grain but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in the world will keep it for eternal life.

Therefore let us not be afraid of persecution. Instead let us move ahead by offering our life for Jesus and for his kingdom. If we live a life like this we too will be able to say like St. Paul-as for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2Tim 4:6-7)

चालीसे का दूसरा सप्ताह

पहला पाठ : इसायाह का ग्रन्थ 1:10,16-20

10) सोदोम के शासको! प्रभु की वाणी सुनो। गोमारा की प्रजा! ईश्वर की शिक्षा पर ध्यान दो।

16) स्नान करो, शुद्ध हो जाओ। अपने कुकर्म मेरी आँखों के सामने से दूर करो। पाप करना छोड़ दो,

17) भलाई करना सीखो। न्याय के अनुसार आचरण करो, पद्दलितों को सहायता दो, अनाथों को न्याय दिलाओ और विधवाओं की रक्षा करो।“

18) प्रभु कहता है: “आओ, हम एक साथ विचार करें। तुम्हारे पाप सिंदूर की तरह लाल क्यों न हों, वे हिम की तरह उज्जवल हो जायेंगे; वे किरमिज की तरह मटमैले क्यों न हों, वे ऊन की तरह श्वेत हो जायेंगे।

19) यदि तुम अज्ञापालन स्वीकार करोगे, तो भूमि की उपज खा कर तृप्त हो जाओगे।

20) किन्तु यदि तुम अस्वीकार कर विद्रोह करोगे, तो तलवार के घाट उतार दिये जाओगे।“ यह प्रभु की वाणी है।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मत्ती 23:1-12

1) उस समय ईसा ने जनसमूह तथा अपने शिष्यों से कहा,

2) ’’शास्त्री और फरीसी मूसा की गद्दी पर बैठे हैं,

3) इसलिए वे तुम लोगों से जो कुछ कहें, वह करते और मानते रहो; परंतु उनके कर्मों का अनुसरण न करो,

4) क्योंकि वे कहते तो हैं, पर करते नहीं। वे बहुत-से भारी बोझ बाँध कर लोगों के कन्धों पर लाद देते हैं, परंतु स्वंय उँगली से भी उन्हें उठाना नहीं चाहते।

5) वे हर काम लोगों का ध्यान आकर्षित करने के लिए करते हैं। वे अपने तावीज चैडे़ और अपने कपड़ों के झब्बे लम्बे कर देते हैं।

6) भोजों में प्रमुख स्थानों पर और सभागृहों में प्रथम आसनों पर विराजमान होना,

7) बाज़ारों में प्रणाम-प्रणाम सुनना और जनता द्वारा गुरुवर कहलाना- यह सब उन्हें बहुत पसन्द है।

8) ’’तुम लोग ’गुरुवर’ कहलाना स्वीकार न करो, क्योंकि एक ही गुरू है और तुम सब-के-सब भाई हो।

9) पृथ्वी पर किसी को अपना ’पिता’ न कहो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा एक ही पिता है, जो स्वर्ग में है।

10 ’आचार्य’ कहलाना भी स्वीकार न करो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा एक ही आचार्य है अर्थात् मसीह।

11) जो तुम लोगों में से सब से बड़ा है, वह तुम्हारा सेवक बने।

12) जो अपने को बडा मानता है, वह छोटा बनाया जायेगा। और जो अपने को छोटा मानता है, वह बडा बनाया जायेगा।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

संत पेत्रुस हम लोगों से कहते है कि आप लोग चुने हुए वंश, राजकीय यसजक वर्ग, पवित्र राष्ट्र तथा ईश्वर की निजी प्रजा हैं, जिससे आप उसके महान कार्यो का बखान करें। पहले आप प्रजा नहीं थे, अब आप ईश्वर की प्रजा हैं। पहले आप कृपा से वंचित थे, अब आप उसके कृपापात्र हैं। (1 पेत्रुस 2:9-10) इस कारण से आज के पहले पाठ में ईश्वर सोदोम के शासको से एवं गोमोरा की प्रजा से कहते है कि स्नान करें, शुद्व हो जाए। अपने कुकर्म मेरी ऑखों के सामने से दूर करें, पाप करना छोड दे, भलाई करना सीखे।

पुराने विधान में हम लोग ईश्वर व्दारा बार बार अपनी प्रजा से यह कहते हुए हम पढते है कि पवित्र बनो, क्योंकि मैं प्रभु तुम्हारा ईश्वर पवित्र हॅू। (लेवि 11:44-45, 19:2, 20:7,26) योशुआ ने लोगों से कहा अपने को पवित्र बनाये सखो, क्योंकि कल प्रभु तुम्हारी ऑखों के सामने चमत्कार करेगा। (योशुआ 3:5) प्रभु ने मूसा से कहा, तुम लोगों के पास जा कर आदेश दो कि वे आज और कल अपने को पवित्र करें और अपने वस्त्र धो लें। वे परसों के लिए अपने को तैयार करें, क्योंकि परसों प्रभु सभी लोगों के सामने सीनई पर्वत पर उतरेगा। (निर्गमन 19:10-11) नये विधान में संत पेत्रुस कहते है आप को जिसने बुलाया, वह पवित्र है। आप भी उसके सदृश अपने समस्त आचरण में पवित्र बनें। (1 पेत्रुस 1:15)

हम अपने आप से पूछें कि क्या मैं ईश्वर की दृष्टि में पवित्र हॅू या नहीं। अगर हम पवित्र नहीं है तो आज के पाठ द्वारा ईश्वर आप को भी बुला रहे है कि आओ मेरे पास। चाहे आप कितने भी घोर पापी क्यों न हो ईश्वर प्यार से आप को भी बुल रहे है। इसलिए हम आज के पहले पाठ में सुनते है कि आओ, हम एक साथ विचार करें। तुम्हरे पाप सिंदूर की तरह लाल क्यों न हों, वे हिम की तरह उज्जल हो जायेगें; वे किरमिज की तरह मटमैले क्यों न हों, वे ऊन की तरह श्वेत हो जायेंगे। (इसायाह 1:18)। आईए हम ईश्वर का यह बुलावे को स्वीकार करते हुए उनके पास जाये और अपने आप को आध्यात्मिक रुप से शुद्व करें।

📚 REFLECTION

St. Peter says in 1Pet 2:9-10 you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Because of this in the first reading God is telling the rulers of Sodom and people of Gomorrah that wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good.

In the Old Testament there are very many references where God says be holy as I am your God is holy (Lev 11:44-45, 19:2; 20:7,26). Joshua says to the people Sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you (Joshua 3:5). The Lord said to Moses: “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes and prepare for the third day, because on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. (Ex 19:10-11) in the New Testament St. Peter (1Pet 1:15) says instead as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct.

Let us ask ourselves that are we holy in the sight of God? If not. Through the first reading the Lord is calling you close to him. No matter how grievous sinner you are, yet the Lord is calling you to himself. “Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool (Isa 1:18). Come let us politely accept this invitation of God and go to him and cleanse ourselves spiritually.
