सन्त योहन ब्रिटो

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियों के नाम पत्र 12:18-19,21-24

18) आप लोग ऐसे पर्वत के निकट नहीं पहुँचे हैं, जिसे आप स्पर्श कर सकते हैं। यहाँ न तो सीनई बादल की धधकती अग्नि है और न काले बादल; न घोर अन्धकार, बवण्डर,

19) तुरही का निनाद और न बोलने वाले की ऐसी वाणी, जिसे सुन कर इस्राएली यह विनय करते थे कि वह फिर हम से कुछ न कहे;

21) वह दृश्य इतना भयानक था कि मूसा बोल उठे, "मैं भय से काँप रहा हूँ"।

22) आप लोग सियोन पर्वत, जीवन्त ईश्वर के नगर, स्वर्गिक येरूसालेम के पास पहुँचे, जहाँ लाखों स्वर्गदूत,

23) स्वर्ग के पहले नागरिकों का आनन्दमय समुदाय, सबों का न्यायकर्ता ईश्वर, धर्मियों की पूर्णता-प्राप्त आत्माएँ

24) और नवीन विधान के मध्यस्थ ईसा विराजमान हैं, जिनका छिड़काया हुआ रक्त हाबिल के रक्त से कहीं अधिक कल्याणकारी है।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मारकुस का सुसमाचार 6:7-13

7) ईसा शिक्षा देते हुए गाँव-गाँव घूमते थे। वे बारहों को अपने पास बुला कर और उन्हें अपदूतों पर अधिकार दे कर, दो-दो करके, भेजने लगे।

8) ईसा ने आदेश दिया कि वे लाठी के सिवा रास्ते के लिए कुछ भी नहीं ले जायें- न रोटी, न झोली, न फेंटे में पैसा।

9) वे पैरों में चप्पल बाँधें और दो कुरते नहीं पहनें

10) उन्होंने उन से कहा, "जिस घर में ठहरने जाओ, नगर से विदा होने तक वहीं रहो!

11) यदि किसी स्थान पर लोग तुम्हारा स्वागत न करें और तुम्हारी बातें न सुनें, तो वहाँ से निकलने पर उन्हें चेतावनी देने के लिए अपने पैरों की धूल झाड़ दो।"

12) वे चले गये। उन्होंने लोगों को पश्चात्ताप का उपदेश दिया,

13) बहुत-से अपदूतों को निकाला और बहुत-से रोगियों पर तेल लगा कर उन्हें चंगा किया।

सन्त योहन ब्रिटो

पहला पाठ : कुरिन्थियों के नाम सन्त पौलुस का पहला पत्र 9:19-29

19) सब लोगों से स्वतन्त्र होने पर भी मैंने अपने को सबों का दास बना लिया है, जिससे मैं अधिक -से-अधिक लोगों का उद्धार कर सकूँ।

20) मैं यहूदियों के लिए यहूदी-जैसा बना, जिससे मैं यहूदियों का उद्धार कर सकँू। जो लोग संहिता के अधीन हैं, उनका उद्धार करने के लिए मैं संहिता के अधीन-जैसा बना, यद्यपि मैं वास्तव में संहिता के अधीन नहीं हूँ।

21) जो लोग संहिता के अधीन नहीं है, उनका उद्धार करने के लिए मैं उनके जैसा बना, यद्यपि मैं मसीह की संहिता के अधीन होने के कारण मैं वास्तव में ईश्वर की संहिता से स्वतन्त्र नहीं हूँ।

22) मैं दुर्बलों के लिए दुर्बल-जैसा बना, जिससे मैं उनका उद्धार कर सकूँ। मैं सब के लिए सब कुछ बन गया हूँ, जिससे किसी-न-किसी तरह कुछ लोगों का उद्धार कर सकूँ।

23) मैं यह सब सुसमाचार के कारण कर रहा हूँ, जिससे मैं भी उसके कृपादानों का भागी बन जाऊँ।

24) क्या आप लोग यह नहीं जानते कि रंगभूमि में तो सभी प्रतियोगी दौड़ते हैं, किन्तु पुरस्कार एक को ही मिलता है? आप इस प्रकार दौड़ें कि पुरस्कार प्राप्त करें।

25) सब प्रतियोगी हर बात में संयम रखते हैं। वे नश्वर मुकुट प्राप्त करने के लिए ऐसा करते हैं, जब कि हम अनश्वर मुकुट के लिए।

26) इसलिए मैं एक निश्चित लक्ष्य सामने रख कर दौड़ता हूँ। मैं ऐसा मुक्केबाज़ हूँ, जो हवा में मुक्का नहीं मारता।

27) मैं अपने शरीर को कष्ट देता हूँ और उसे वश में रखता हूँ। कहीं ऐसा न हो कि दूसरों को प्रवचन देने के बाद स्वयं मैं ही ठुकरा दिया जाऊँ।

सुसमाचार : सन्त योहन का सुसमाचार 12:20-32

20) जो लोग पर्व के अवसर पर आराधना करने आये थे, उन में कुछ यूनानी थे।

21) उन्होने फि़लिप के पास आ कर यह निवेदन किया महाशय! हम ईसा से मिलना चाहते हैं। फि़लिप गलीलिया के बेथसाइदा का निवासी था।

22) उसने जाकर अन्द्रेयस को यह बताया और अन्द्रेयस ने फि़लिप को साथ ले जा कर ईसा को इसकी सूचना दी।

23) ईसा ने उन से कहा, “वह समय आ गया है, जब मानव पुत्र महिमान्वित किया जायेगा।“

24) मैं तुम लोगो से यह कहता हूँ- जब तक गेंहूँ का दाना मिटटी में गिर कर नहीं मर जाता, तब तक वह अकेला ही रहता है; परंतु यदि वह मर जाता है, तो बहुत फल देता है।

25) जो अपने जीवन को प्यार करता है, वह उसका सर्वनाश करता है और जो इस संसार में अपने जीवन से बैर करता है, वह उसे अनंत जीवन के लिये सुरक्षित रखता है।

26) यदि कोई मेरी सेवा करना चाहता है तो वह मेरा अनुसरण करे। जहाँ मैं हूँ वहीं मेरा सेवक भी होगा। जो मेरी सेवा करेगा, मेरा पिता उस को सम्मान प्रदान करेगा।

27) “अब मेरी आत्मा व्याकुल है। क्या मैं यह कहूँ - ’पिता ! इस घडी के संकट से मुझे बचा’? किन्तु इसलिये तो मैं इस घडी तक आया हूँ।

28) पिता! अपनी महिमा प्रकट कर। उसी समय यह स्वर्गवाणी सुनाई पडी, ’’मैने उसे प्रकट किया है और उसे फिर प्रकट करूँगा।“ आसपास खडे लोग यह सुनकर बोले, ’’बादल गरजा’’।

29) कुछ लोगो ने कहा, ’’एक स्वर्गदूत ने उन से कुछ कहा’’।

30) ईसा ने उत्तर दिया, ’’यह वाणी मेरे लिये नहीं बल्कि तुम लोगेा के लिये आयी।

31) अब इस संसार का न्याय हो रहा है। अब इस संसार का नायक निकाल दिया जायेगा।

32) और मैं, जब पृथ्वी के ऊँपर उठाया जाऊँगा तो सब मनुष्यों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करूँगा।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

प्रिय दोस्तों, हम ईश्वर और इस दुनिया के मूल्यों के बीच एक बड़ा अंतर अथवा विरोधाभास पाते हैं। संसार की निगाह में धन - दौलत होना किसी व्यक्ति की एक बड़ी ताकत माना जाता है। जबकि एक ईश्वर भक्त के लिए सांसारिक चीज़ों से विमुखता रखना बड़ा धन है। आज के सुसमाचार में येसु बारहों को मिशन के लिए खाली हाथ भेजते है। उन्हें भौतिक दौलत के बिना भेजा गया था लेकिन ईश्वर की आत्मा से वे भरे हुए थे । उनका मिशन भौतिक चीजों के मामले में खाली था, लेकिन वे आध्यात्मिक रूप से समृद्ध थे। उन्हें जो तोहफा मिला, वह था आत्मा के द्वारा बुराई को कुचलना और अच्छाई को लोगों बाँटना। यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा कि उनकी ताकत दुनिया और दुनिया की चीजों से नहीं बल्कि ईश्वर से आती है।

प्रत्येक बपतिस्मा प्राप्त ईसाई एक मिशनरी है जिसे आत्मा के दानों के साथ सुसमाचार की घोषणा करने के लिए भेजा गया है। हमें दुनिया को बदलने के लिए दुनिया में भलाई और ईश्वरीय ज्योति बहाल करने और खुद ज्योति बनने के लिए बुलाया गया है। आज हमारी मिशनरी गतिविधियों में, हमें अपने स्वयं के कार्यों के बजाय ईश्वर के प्रबंध में विश्वास करना सीखना होगा। आइए हम अपने मिशनरी बुलावे को नवीनीकृत करें और प्रभु में हमारी श्रद्धा और विश्वास को गहरा करें, तथा साहस और आनंद के साथ एक गवाही का जीवन के जीने लिए ईश्वर से कृपा माँगे।

📚 REFLECTION

Dear Friends, we find a big contrast between the values the Kingdom of God and this world. For the world material possession and wealth is the power, whereas for the Kingdom of God detachment from the worldly possessions is a great value. In the Gospel today Jesus sends the Twelve empty handed for mission. They were sent without material possession but filled with the Spirit of God. Their mission was scanty in terms of material things but they were rich spiritually. The gift they received was the power of the Spirit to crush the evil and to nourish good. Jesus told his disciples that their strength does not come from the world and the things of the world but from God.

Every Baptized Christian is a missionary sent out to proclaim the Good News with the same gift of the Spirit. We are called to restore the good and become leaven and light of the world to transform the world. In our missionary activities today, we need to learn to trust in God’s care rather than in our own recourses. Let us renew our missionary call and ask Jesus to deepen our faith and trust in the Lord and help us to live a life of witness with courage and joy.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियों के नाम पत्र 12:4-7,11-15

4) अब तक आप को पाप से संघर्ष करने में अपना रक्त नहीं बहाना पड़ा।

5) क्या आप लोग धर्मग्रन्थ का यह उपदेश भूल गये हैं, जिस में आप को पुत्र कह कर सम्बोधित किया गया है? -मेरे पुत्र! प्रभु के अनुशासन की उपेक्षा मत करो और उसकी फटकार से हिम्मत मत हारो;

6) क्योंकि प्रभु जिसे प्यार करता है, उसे दण्ड देता है और जिसे पुत्र मानता है, उसे कोड़े लगाता है।

7) आप जो कष्ट सहते हैं, उसे पिता का दण्ड समझें, क्योंकि वह इसका प्रमाण है, कि ईश्वर आप को पुत्र समझ कर आपके साथ व्यवहार करता है। और कौन पुत्र ऐसा है, जिसे पिता दण्ड नहीं देता?

11) जब दण्ड मिल रहा है, तो वह सुखद नहीं, दुःखद प्रतीत होता है; किन्तु जो दण्ड द्वारा प्रशिक्षित होते हैं, वे बाद में धार्मिकता का शान्तिप्रद फल प्राप्त करते हैं।

12) इसलिए ढीले हाथों तथा शिथिल घुटनों को सबल बना लें।

13) और सीधे पथ पर आगे बढ़ते जायें, जिससे लंगड़ा भटके नहीं, बल्कि चंगा हो जाये।

14) सबों के साथ शान्ति बनाये रखें और पवित्रता की साधना करें। इसके बिना कोई ईश्वर के दर्शन नहीं कर पायेगा।

15) आप सावधान रहें- कोई ईश्वर की कृपा से वंचित न हो। ऐसा कोई कड़वा और हानिकर पौधा पनपने न पाये, जो समस्त समुदाय को दूषित कर दे।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मारकुस का सुसमाचार 6:1-6

1) वहाँ से विदा हो कर ईसा अपने शिष्यों के साथ अपने नगर आये।

2) जब विश्राम-दिवस आया, तो वे सभागृह में शिक्षा देने लगे। बहुत-से लोग सुन रहे थे और अचम्भे में पड़ कर कहते थे, ’’यह सब इसे कहाँ से मिला? यह कौन-सा ज्ञान है, जो इसे दिया गया है? यह जो महान् चमत्कार दिखाता है, वे क्या हैं?

3) क्या यह वही बढ़ई नहीं है- मरियम का बेटा, याकूब, यूसुफ़, यूदस और सिमोन का भाई? क्या इसकी बहनें हमारे ही बीच नहीं रहती?’’ और वे ईसा में विश्वास नहीं कर सके।

4) ईसा ने उन से कहा, ’’अपने नगर, अपने कुटुम्ब और अपने घर में नबी का आदर नहीं होता’।

5) वे वहाँ कोई चमत्कार नहीं कर सके। उन्होंने केवल थोड़े-से रोगियों पर हाथ रख कर उन्हें अच्छा किया।

6) उन लोगों के अविश्वास पर ईसा को बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

हिंदी में एक कहावत है - 'घर की मुर्गी दाल बराबर' । यह आज के सुसमाचार में सच होते दीखता है।नासरत के लोग येसु और उसके परिवार से भली- भांति परिचित थे। वह उन लोगों के साथ किसी भी अन्य लड़कों की तरह बढ़ता गया, जिसमें उनके साथ कुछ भी असाधारण नहीं था जो लोगों का ध्यान आकर्षित करेगा या लोगों को उन्हें किसी महान व्यक्ति के रूप में देखने के लिए प्रेरित करे। यही कारण है कि उनके दिव्य ज्ञान और चमत्कार के उनके शक्तिशाली कार्यों के साथ उनके उपदेश को उनके अपने लोगों द्वारा बहुत अधिक महत्व नहीं दिया गया था। यही कारण है कि योहन अपने सुसमाचार में लिखते हैं - "वह अपने यहाँ आया और उसके अपने लोगों ने उसे नहीं अपनाया।" (योहन 1:11)।

येसु की अस्वीकृति ने उनकी सेवकाई के उत्साह को प्रभावित नहीं किया। उन्होंने अपनी सेवकाई को जारी रखा क्योंकि वह अपनी महिमा के लिए या किसी को खुश करने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं कर रहे थे। वह यह केवल अपने स्वर्गीय पिता की इच्छा को पूरा करने के लिए कर रहे थे। ईश्वर के एक सच्चे अनुयायी को कोई अवरोध, निराशा या अत्याचार ईश्वर की राह पर चलने में नहीं रोक सकता। हमें हमारे गुरु येसु के पद चिन्हों पर चलते हुए वही करना चाहिए जो प्रभु हमसे करवाना चाहते हैं और प्रभु हमारे लिए सेवकाई के लिए नए द्वार खोलेंगे। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

There is a saying in English familiarity brings contempt. This is very true of the Gospel today. The people of Nazareth were familiar with Jesus and his family. He grew with them just like any other boys with nothing extraordinary in him which would draw the attention of the people or would make people to regard him someone great. That is why his preaching with the divine wisdom and his mighty works of miracles were not given much importance by his own people. That is why John writes in his Gospel – “He came to his own and his own did not receive him.” (Jn. 1:11).

The rejection of Jesus did not affect his enthusiasm and zeal for his ministry. He continued his ministry for he was not doing anything either for his own glory or to please someone. He was doing it only to do the will of his heavenly Father. A true follower of Christ does not let rejections and disappointment keep him from serving God. Following the master’s footstep we must keep doing what the Lord wants us to do and the Lord will open new doors for our ministry.

बालक येसु का मन्दिर में समर्पण

पहला पाठ : मलआकी का ग्रन्थ 3:1-4

1) प्रभु-ईश्वर यह कहता है, “देखो, मैं अपने दूत भेजूँगा, जिससे वह मेरे लिए मार्ग तैयार करे। वह प्रभु, जिसे तुम खोजते हो, अचानक अपने मन्दिर आ जायेगा। देखो, विधान का वह दूत, जिस के लिए तुम तरसते हो, आ रहा है।

2) कौन उसके आगमन के दिन का सामना कर सकेगा? जब वह प्रकट होगा, तो कौन टिकेगा? क्योंकि वह सुनार की आग और धोबी के खार के सदृश है।

3) वह चाँदी गलाने वाले और शोधन करने वाले की तरह बैठ कर लेवी के पुत्रों को शुद्ध करेगा और सोने-चाँदी की तरह उनका परिष्कार करेगा।

4) तब वे योग्य रीति से ईश्वर को भेंट चढ़ायेंगे और प्रभु-ईश्वर प्राचीन काल की तरह यूदा और यरूसलेम की भेंट स्वीकार करेगा।

सुसमाचार : सन्त लूकस का सुसमाचार 2:22-40

22) जब मूसा की संहिता के अनुसार शुद्धीकरण का दिन आया, तो वे बालक को प्रभु को अर्पित करने के लिए येरुसालेम ले गये;

23) जैसा कि प्रभु की संहिता में लिखा है: हर पहलौठा बेटा प्रभु को अर्पित किया जाये

24) और इसलिए भी कि वे प्रभु की संहिता के अनुसार पण्डुकों का एक जोड़ा या कपोत के दो बच्चे बलिदान में चढ़ायें।

25) उस समय येरुसालेम में सिमेयोन नामक एक धर्मी तथा भक्त पुरुष रहता था। वह इस्राएल की सान्त्वना की प्रतीक्षा में था और पवित्र आत्मा उस पर छाया रहता था।

26) उसे पवित्र आत्मा से यह सूचना मिली थी कि वह प्रभु के मसीह को देखे बिना नहीं मरेगा।

27) वह पवित्र आत्मा की प्रेरणा से मन्दिर आया। माता-पिता शिशु ईसा के लिए संहिता की रीतियाँ पूरी करने जब उसे भीतर लाये,

28) तो सिमेयोन ने ईसा को अपनी गोद में ले लिया और ईश्वर की स्तुति करते हुए कहा,

29) ’’प्रभु, अब तू अपने वचन के अनुसार अपने दास को शान्ति के साथ विदा कर;

30) क्योंकि मेरी आँखों ने उस मुक्ति को देखा है,

31) जिसे तूने सब राष़्ट्रों के लिए प्रस्तुत किया है।

32) यह ग़ैर-यहूदियों के प्रबोधन के लिए ज्योति है और तेरी प्रजा इस्राएल का गौरव।’’

33) बालक के विषय में ये बातें सुन कर उसके माता-पिता अचम्भे में पड़ गये।

34) सिमेयोन ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया और उसकी माता मरियम से यह कहा, ’’देखिए, इस बालक के कारण इस्राएल में बहुतों का पतन और उत्थान होगा। यह एक चिन्ह है जिसका विरोध किया जायेगा।

35) इस प्रकार बहुत-से हृदयों के विचार प्रकट होंगे और एक तलवार आपके हृदय को आर-पार बेधेगी।

36) अन्ना नामक एक नबिया थी, जो असेर-वंशी फ़नुएल की बेटी थी। वह बहुत बूढ़ी हो चली थी। वह विवाह के बाद केवल सात बरस अपने पति के साथ रह कर

37) विधवा हो गयी थी और अब चैरासी बरस की थी। वह मन्दिर से बाहर नहीं जाती थी और उपवास तथा प्रार्थना करते हुए दिन-रात ईश्वर की उपासना में लगी रहती थी।

38) वह उसी घड़ी आ कर प्रभु की स्तुति करने और जो लोग येरुसालेम की मुक्ति की प्रतीक्षा में थे, वह उन सबों को उस बालक के विषय में बताने लगी।

39) प्रभु की संहिता के अनुसार सब कुछ पूरा कर लेने के बाद वे गलीलिया-अपनी नगरी नाज़रेत-लौट गये।

40) बालक बढ़ता गया। उस में बल तथा बुद्धि का विकास होता गया और उसपर ईश्वर का अनुग्रह बना रहा।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज एक ऐसा दिन है जब हम पारंपरिक रूप से मोमबत्तियों की आशीष करते हैं। यह प्रकाश का पर्व है, येसु में हम ईश्वर की ज्योति का दर्शन करते हैं। सुसमाचार में हम पढ़ते हैं धर्मी सिमोन ने येसु को राष्ट्रों के लिए ज्योति और इज़राइल की महिमा घोषित किया। आज का पर्व एक ख़ुशी का पर्व है पर हम देखते हैं कि यरूशलेम में येसु के समर्पण की ख़ुशी में गम का सन्देश सुनाया जाता है।

बालक येसु को गैर यहूदियों के लिए ज्योति और इजराइल के लिए महिमा घोषित करने के बाद सिमियोंन ने घोषणा की कि यह बच्चा एक चिन्ह है जिसे अस्वीकार कर दिया जायेगा। हर कोई उस प्रकाश का स्वागत नहीं करेगा, सिमियोंन के अनुसार यही कारण है कि इस बच्चे की वजह से इजरायल में कई लोगों के पतन और उत्थान होगा। इसराइल में कुछ लोग यीशु के कारन ठोकर खाएंगे; और कुछ को उनके द्वारा उठा लिया जाएगा। संत योहन के अनुसार प्रकाश संसार में आया और लोगों ने प्रकाश के सिवा अंधकार को पसंद किया क्योंकि उनके कर्म बुरे थे।

प्रभु येसु में झलकती ईश्वरीय प्रेम रूपी ज्योति से विमुख होना हमारे मानवीय दुर्बल स्वाभाव के कारण संभव है। कम रोशनी अथवा प्रकाश में हम खुद को अधिक सहज या आरामदायक पा सकते हैं पर ईश्वर का प्रकाश उनकी ज्योति प्रभु येसु के माध्यम से लगातार चमक रही है। और उस ज्योति को कोई भी कम नहीं कर सकता। हम सिमियोंन और अन्ना के समान, हर दिन ईश्वर की दिव्य ज्योति की ओर मुड़ें और ईश्वर के प्रकाश में जीवन बिताएं। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Today is a day when we traditionally bless candles. It is a feast of light, of God’s light revealed in Jesus. In the gospel reading Simeon declares Jesus to be a light to enlighten the pagans, as well as being the glory of Israel. Today’s feast closes the Christmas festival of light. It is a joyful feast and, yet, a shadow is cast over this joyful scene in the Temple in Jerusalem.

Having declared the child Jesus to be God’s light to enlighten the pagans and to bring glory to Israel, Simeon goes on to declare that this same child is also destined to be a sign that is rejected. Not everyone will welcome the light that he brings which is why this child, according to Simeon, is destined for the fall and the rising of many in Israel. Some in Israel will stumble over Jesus; others will be lifted up by him. In the language of the fourth gospel, ‘the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil’.

We are all capable of turning away from the light, the light of God’s love and God’s truth shining through Jesus. We can be more comfortable with lesser lights. Yet, the light of God continues to shine through Jesus, the risen Lord. No amount of human rejection diminishes that light. Every day we are called by God to keep turning towards this radiant light of Jesus, after the example of Simeon and Anna in the gospel reading.

34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, recovered strength from weakness, became valiant in battle, put to flight the armies of foreigners:

35 Women received their dead raised to life again. But others were racked, not accepting deliverance, that they might find a better resurrection.

36 And others had trial of mockeries and stripes, moreover also of bands and prisons.

4 For having been often bound with fetters and chains, he had burst the chains, and broken the fetters in pieces, and no one could tame him.

6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and adored him.

7 And crying with a loud voice, he said: What have I to do with thee, Jesus the Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God that thou torment me not.

पहला पाठ : इब्रानियो 11:32-40

32) मैं और क्या कहूँ? गिदियोन, बराक, समसोन, यिफ़्तह, दाऊद, समूएल और अन्य नबियों की चरचा करने की मुझे फुरसत नहीं।

33) उन्होंने अपने विश्वास द्वारा राज्यों को अपने अधीन कर लिया, न्याय का पालन किया, प्रतिज्ञाओं का फल पाया, सिंहों का मुँह बन्द दिया

34) और प्रज्वलित आग बुझायी। वे तलवार की धार से बच गये और दुर्बल होने पर भी शक्तिशाली बन गये। उन्होंने युद्ध में वीरता का प्रदर्शन किया और विदेशी सेनाओं को भगा दिया।

35) स्त्रियों ने अपने पुनर्जीवित मृतकों को फिर प्राप्त किया। कुछ लोग यन्त्रणा सह कर मर गये और उस से इसलिए छुटकारा नहीं चाहते थे कि उन्हें श्रेष्ठतर पुनरुत्थान प्राप्त हो।

36) उपहास, कोड़ों, बेडि़यों और बन्दीगृह द्वारा कुछ लोगों की परीक्षा ली गयी है।

37) कुछ लोग पत्थरों से मारे गये, कुछ आरे से चीर दिये गये और कुछ तलवार के घाट उतारे गये। कुछ लोग दरिद्रता, अत्याचार और उत्पीड़न के शिकार बन कर भेड़ों और बकरियों की खाल ओढ़े इधर-उधर भटकते रहे।

38) संसार उनके योग्य नहीं था। उन्हें उजाड़ स्थानों, पहाड़ी प्रदेशों, गुफाओं और धरती के गड्ढों की शरण लेनी पड़ी।

39) वे सभी अपने विश्वास के कारण ईश्वर के कृपापात्र बने गये। फिर भी उन्हें प्रतिज्ञा का फल प्राप्त नहीं हुआ

40) क्योंकि ईश्वर ने हम को दृष्टि में रख कर एक श्रेष्ठत्तर योजना बनायी थी। वह चाहता था कि वे हमारे साथ ही पूर्णता तक पहुँचे।

सुसमाचार : सन्त मारकुस 5:1-20

(1) ईसा यह विशाल जनसमूह देखकर पहाड़ी पर चढ़े और बैठ गए। उनके शिष्य उनके पास आये।

(2) और वे यह कहते हुए उन्हें शिक्षा देने लगेः

(3) "धन्य हैं वे, जो अपने को दीन-हीन समझते हैं! स्वर्गराज्य उन्हीं का है।

(4) धन्य हैं वे जो नम्र हैं! उन्हें प्रतिज्ञात देश प्राप्त होगा।

(5) धन्य हैं वे, जो शोक करते हैं! उन्हें सान्त्वना मिलेगी।

(6) घन्य हैं, वे, जो धार्मिकता के भूखे और प्यासे हैं! वे तृप्त किये जायेंगे।

(7) धन्य हैं वे, जो दयालू हैं! उन पर दया की जायेगी।

(8) धन्य हैं वे, जिनका हृदय निर्मल हैं! वे ईश्वर के दर्शन करेंगे।

(9) धन्य हैं वे, जो मेल कराते हैं! वे ईश्वर के पुत्र कहलायेंगे।

(10) धन्य हैं वे, जो धार्मिकता के कारण अत्याचार सहते हैं! स्वर्गराज्य उन्हीं का है।

(11) धन्य हो तुम जब लोग मेरे कारण तुम्हारा अपमान करते हैं, तुम पर अत्याचार करते हैं और तरह-तरह के झूठे दोष लगाते हैं।

(12) खुश हो और आनन्द मनाओ - स्वर्ग में तुम्हें महान् पुरस्कार प्राप्त होगा। तुम्हारे पहले के नबियों पर भी उन्होंने इसी तरह अत्याचार किया।

(13) "तुम पृथ्वी के नमक हो। यदि नमक फीका पड़ जाये, तो वह किस से नमकीन किया जायेगा? वह किसी काम का नहीं रह जाता। वह बाहर फेंका और मनुष्यों के पैरों तले रौंदा जाता है।

(14) "तुम संसार की ज्योति हो। पहाड़ पर बसा हुआ नगर छिप नहीं सकता।

(15) लोग दीपक जला कर पैमाने के नीचे नहीं, बल्कि दीवट पर रखते हैं, जहाँ से वह घर के सब लोगों को प्रकाश देता है।

(16) उसी प्रकार तुम्हारी ज्योति मनुष्यों के सामने चमकती रहे, जिससे वे तुम्हारे भले कामों को देख कर तुम्हारे स्वर्गिक पिता की महिमा करें।

(17) "यह न समझो कि मैं संहिता अथवा नबियों के लेखों को रद्द करने आया हूँ। उन्हें रद्द करने नहीं, बल्कि पूरा करने आया हूँ।

(18) मैं तुम लोगों से यह कहता हूँ - आकाश और पृथ्वी भले ही टल जाये, किन्तु संहिता की एक मात्रा अथवा एक बिन्दु भी पूरा हुए बिना नहीं टलेगा।

(19) इसलिए जो उन छोटी-से-छोटी आज्ञाओं में एक को भी भंग करता और दूसरों को ऐसा करना सिखाता है, वह स्वर्गराज्य में छोटा समझा जायेगा। जो उनका पालन करता और उन्हें सिखाता है, वह स्वर्गराज्य में बड़ा समझा जायेगा।

(20) मैं तुम लोगों से कहता हूँ - यदि तुम्हारी धार्मिकता शास्त्रियों और फ़रीसियों की धार्मिकता से गहरी नहीं हुई, तो तुम स्वर्गराज्य में प्रवेश नहीं करोगे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

प्रिय विश्वासियों, आज हम सुसमाचार में एक अपदूत ग्रस्त की चंगाई के बारे में सुनते हैं। दर्शकों के लिए वह व्यक्ति एक आतंक था। परिवार के सदस्यों और अन्य लोगों ने उसे वश में करने के सारे प्रयास छोड़ दिए थे क्योंकि उसके अंदर शैतानी शक्ति इतनी अधिक थी कि किसी के लिए भी उसे नियंत्रण में रखना असंभव था। हम इस अपदूत ग्रस्त में एक पूर्ण विरोधाभास देखते हैं। यीशु का सामना करने से पहले, वह बहुत उग्र दिखाई दिया, लेकिन जब वह येसु की दिव्यता के संपर्क में आता है तो वह शांत हो जाता है और शांति के साथ यीशु के चरणों में बैठ जाता है। कोई भी जो येसु के साथ संपर्क में आता है और बदलने के लिए तैयार है वह अपनी पुरानी स्थिति में नहीं रह सकता है। बस हमें येसु को अपने जीवन में काम करने के लिए अपना जीवन उन्हें देने की जरूरत है। अपदूत ग्रस्त ने येसु को उसके अंदर के आत्माओं को सूअरों में भेजने को कहा ।

यह अपदूत ग्रस्त हमारे भीतर की कई कठोर व दुष्ट प्रवृत्तियों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है जो हमारे जीवन में अपने गहरी पेठ जमाये हुए हैं। और हमें अपने स्वयं के मानवीय प्रयासों द्वारा ऐसी बुराइयों से बाहर आना बहुत मुश्किल लगता है। हमें ईश्वरीय हस्तक्षेप की आवश्यकता है; हमें बुराई के चंगुल से मुक्त करने के लिए ईश्वर की कृपा की आवश्यकता है। सूअरों का विनाश यह नहीं दर्शाता है कि यीशु जानवरों के विरोधी थे, बल्कि यह मानव जीवन के मूल्य को दर्शाता है। यीशु के लिए, ईश्वर के सदृश्य और स्वरुप में निर्मित व्यक्ति हजारों सूअरों की तुलना में बहुत अधिक मूल्यवान है। वह हर एक इंसान को बचाने के लिए इस दुनिया में आया और उसने अपनी जान भी दे दी। येसु ने चंगाई पाए व्यक्ति को उनकी सेवकाई में उनका अनुसरण करने देने के बजाय, उसे अन्यजातियों को सुसमाचार का एक जीवित गवाह बनने के लिए कहा।

आइए हम येसु को अपने जीवन में काम करने की अनुमति दें और हमारे भीतर की सभी कठोर और जिद्दी बुरी आदतों को बाहर निकालें और इस दुनिया में और येसु के शक्तिशाली कार्यों के साक्षी बनें। आमेन।

📚 REFLECTION

Dear Friends in the Gospel today we hear about a dramatic healing of a demoniac. To the onlookers the possessed person was a terror. The family members and the other people had given up on him for the evil power in him was so powerful that it was impossible for anyone to put him under control. We see a complete contrast in the behaviour of the demoniac. Before encountering Jesus, he appeared very hostile and furious, but when he comes in touch with the divinity of Jesus he becomes calm and quiet and with peace and serenity sits at the feet of Jesus. Nothing or no one that comes in touched with Jesus and is willing to change can remain in the same old situation. All one needs to do is to let Jesus work in his/her life. The demoniac allowed Jesus to cast the evil away into the pigs.

This demoniac represents many rigid evil tendencies in us which take the upper hand in our lives and we find it very difficult to come out of such evils by our own human efforts. We need the divine intervention; we need God's grace to set us free from the clutches of evil. The destruction of the pigs does not show that Jesus was anti-animals, rather it shows the value of human life. For Jesus person created in the image and likeness of God is much more valuable than thousands of pigs. He came into this world to save every individual human being and to save each one He even gives up His own life. Jesus instead of allowing the cured man to follow him in His ministry, He asks him to become a living witness of the Divine message to the gentiles the territory.

Lets us allow Jesus to work in our lives and drive out all the rigid and stubborn evil habits within us and become the witness of the mighty works of Jesus in and around our world. Amen.
