28) इसलिए ये हज़ार अशर्फियाँ इस से ले लो और जिसके पास दस हज़ार हैं, उसी को दे दो;
📚 REFLECTION
In the struggles of the life where everyone is busy in making one’s life. He/she wants that there life be a secured one with one house, family and job; but in this struggles of life human thinks about oneself and forgets one important thing that he/she is being sent in this world with special purpose. We all have received the life from God in order to bear fruit as Jesus says in Jn 15:16, You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit.
This life is not limited to understand one’s life and make one’s life but along with that to bear fruit which is very clear through today’s gospel. In today’s gospel once again in order to explain about the Kingdom of God Lord Jesus uses one more parable and that parable is Parable of the talents where we come to many important things:
Firstly that according to our capacity we all have received gifts from God. How much gifts we have received much more is being expected also that we bear much and worth fruit from that. “From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demand” (Lk 12:48). That is why we should not think we don’t have this or we don’t have that in our lives but we should think what we have in our lives what we have done of it?
Secondly, we have to bear fruit for God. Usually what we have received as gifts we usually use them for ourselves but those gifts are not for the benefit of oneself alone but from that worthy fruit should be obtained. If anyone has got the gift of wisdom then it is not used for one’s own success but to help the ignorant and weak too. One who has got the gift to understand God’s word then it is not for oneself alone but also to explain and make it to understand them who are searching God’s word and its meaning but are unable to understand it. Likewise all have got the gifts and talents according to one’s own capacity so that we bear worth fruit out of it.
Thirdly- At the end we are accountable of our life of what we have received and what we have done out of it. This tells us that what all we have received is not ours but are given or handed to us and like stewards we have to take care of them and have to give accounts at the end. One steward can do the work with full honesty or in a dishonest way. In today’s gospel those servants who bear more fruit with their honest work were appreciated and were given more. But that servant who hid the talent received the rebuke and taking from him what he had he was send for the punishment.
Fourthly- We all have to work for the Kingdom of God. We all are called to work for God’s kingdom, where we have to work daily for His Kingdom so that we can save many souls for him. The servant who was punished did not do the work for his owner and showed his laziness. We all have received an opportunity so that we can work for God. We all work for ourselves: for our stomach, for our family for our relatives, for our country but when the question arise to do the work for God, we fail to do God’s work. Lord Jesus says in Mk 12:17, Give to the Caesar the things that are the Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. We should not work for ourselves alone but also for the God. In our lives, by hiding the talents if do not do anything for God then we lose an opportunity and at the end our life too.
Usually we are busy in our lives only, but we should know that the Lord’s day will come like a thief which St. Paul tell us in today’s second reading and when the time will come then we may not have the time nor words.
Let’s meditate and reflect in our lives that in the vineyard of God or in the Kingdom of God, we are which kind of servant? Are we an honest servant? Are we servant of God who work for him or are we a lazy servant? May today’s word open our eyes and help us to work for the kingdom of God. Amen!

Daily Mass Readings for Saturday, 14 November 2020
Daily Mass Readings for Saturday, 14 November 2020
Ordinary Weekday / Optional Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary
First Reading: Third John 1:5-8
5 Dearly beloved, thou dost faithfully whatever thou dost for the brethren, and that for strangers,
6 Who have given testimony to thy charity in the sight of the church: whom thou shalt do well to bring forward on their way in a manner worthy of God.
7 Because, for his name they went out, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellow helpers of the truth.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 112: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6
1 Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.
4 To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just.
5 Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment:
6 Because he shall not be moved for ever.
Gospel: Luke 18: 1-8
1 And he spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always to pray, and not to faint,
2 Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man.
3 And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary.
4 And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God, nor regard man,
5 Yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest continually coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And will not God revenge his elect who cry to him day and night: and will he have patience in their regard?
8 I say to you, that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?

6) उन्होंने यहाँ की कलीसिया के सामने आपके भ्रातृप्रेम का साक्ष्य दिया है। यदि आप उनकी अगली यात्रा का ऐसा प्रबन्ध करेंगे, जो ईश्वर के योग्य हो, तो अच्छा काम करेंगे;
📚 REFLECTION
Lord Jesus lived a prayerful life in this world and through his life he gave prime importance to prayer. In today’s gospel Lord Jesus says, ‘we need to pray always and not to lose heart.’ In order to explain this Lord Jesus tells the parable of a widow who continuously kept coming to unjust judge for the justice against her opponent and last she received the justice.
In this parable Lord Jesus differentiates between merciful God and unjust judge, where the unjust judge takes time to give justice to the widow whereas Almighty God quickly grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night.
This parable teaches to go to God always like that of the widow who went to the judge again and again. Perhaps the widow did not have any other option because at those times the condition of the widows was very worse. When some problems come to our lives or some happiness comes to our lives, to whom do we go first? Perhaps we may be going to God at last as the last option, but we have to make ourselves dependent only on God, we have to empty ourselves before God like that of the widow even if we have everything.
Some prayers God answers quickly but for some prayers it may take time. In those times we should not lose heart but should keep our faith alive because in the house of God there may be delay but no darkness which means to say there may be delay but the blessing is sure. And this faith we should keep alive till the Son of Man comes. Let’s grow in praying always and keep our faith alive. Amen

Frances Xavier Cabrini, Virgin, Religious Obligatory Memorial
First Reading: Second John 1: 4-9
4 I was exceeding glad, that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is charity, that we walk according to his commandments. For this is the commandment, that, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in the same:
7 For many seducers are gone out into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh: this is a seducer and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 119: 1, 2, 10, 11, 17, 18
1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are they who search his testimonies: that seek him with their whole heart.
10 With my whole heart have I sought after thee: let me not stray from thy commandments.
11 Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.
17 GIMEL. Give bountifully to thy servant, enliven me: and I shall keep thy words.
18 Open thou my eyes: and I will consider the wondrous things of thy law.
Gospel: Luke 17: 26-37
26 And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built.
29 And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
31 In that hour, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he that shall be in the field, in like manner, let him not return back.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose it, shall preserve it.
34 I say to you: in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together: the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left: two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
36 They answering, say to him: Where, Lord?
37 Who said to them: Wheresoever the body shall be, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.

28) लोट के दिनों में भी यही हुआ था। लोग खाते-पीते, लेन-देन करते, पेड़ लगाते और घर बनाते रहे;
📚 REFLECTION
Lord Jesus in today’s gospel giving the example of two events shows the similarity to the coming of Son of Man. In the two incidents two things were similar. First that when the destruction will take place nobody was knowing the date and time. Secondly, the people who were eating and drinking and were immersed in their life till that day came, all were destroyed. Giving the example of Noah’s time and Lot’s time Lord Jesus says, “It will be like that on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.” Which means to say when the Son of Man will come we will not know and till the Son of Man comes those who were eating and drinking, immersed in their life and were thinking that this will not happen so enjoy the life, same thing will happen to them happened in the two events.
We are so immersed in this world that we think this is the real life and that’s why we try to secure this life in all possible ways. But one who loses this life for the life to come will gain it. To lose one’s life means to take us the cross and follow Jesus and accepting whatever difficulty, sorrows, pain, persecutions comes in following Jesus. Many follow Jesus but when difficulties and troubles start coming then to save themselves they stop following.
In this world many live together but when the time will come then only some will be chosen. We may play together, work together, live together but one who prepare his life for the second coming of Jesus he/she only will be chosen and will be saved and rest will be destroyed. Let’s pray that we all may find ourselves ready and worthy when the time comes. Amen!

Mass Readings for Thursday, 12 November 2020
Josaphat, Bishop, Religious, Martyr Obligatory Memorial
First Reading: Philemon 1: 7-20
7 For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:
9 For charity sake I rather beseech, whereas thou art such a one, as Paul an old man, and now a prisoner also of Jesus Christ.
10 I beseech thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bands, Onesimus,
11 Who hath been heretofore unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable both to me and thee,
12 Whom I have sent back to thee. And do thou receive him as my own bowels.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered to me in the bands of the gospel:
14 But without thy counsel I would do nothing: that thy good deed might not be as it were of necessity, but voluntary.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season from thee, that thou mightest receive him again for ever:
16 Not now as a servant, but instead of a servant, a most dear brother, especially to me: but how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord?
17 If therefore thou count me a partner, receive him as myself.
18 And if he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is in thy debt, put that to my account.
19 I Paul have written it with my own hand: I will repay it: not to say to thee, that thou owest me thy own self also.
20 Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord. Refresh my bowels in the Lord.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 146: 7, 8-9a, 9bc-10
7 Who keepeth truth for ever: who executeth judgment for them that suffer wrong: who giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth them that are fettered:
8 The Lord enlighteneth the blind. The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down: the Lord loveth the just.
9 The Lord keepeth the strangers, he will support the fatherless and the widow: and the ways of sinners he will destroy.
10 The Lord shall reign for ever: thy God, O Sion, unto generation and generation.
Gospel: Luke 17: 20-25
20 And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? he answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there. For lo, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when you shall desire to see one day of the Son of man; and you shall not see it.
23 And they will say to you: See here, and see there. Go ye not after, nor follow them:
24 For as the lightening that lighteneth from under heaven, shineth unto the parts that are under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
