2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire, and them that had overcome the beast, and his image, and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having the harps of God:

3 And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, O King of ages.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and magnify thy name? For thou only art holy: for all nations shall come, and shall adore in thy sight, because thy judgments are manifest.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 98: 1, 2-3ab, 7-8, 9

1 A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord anew canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy.

2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles.

3 He hath remembered his mercy his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Gospel: Luke 21: 12-19

12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before kings and governors, for my name’s sake.

13 And it shall happen unto you for a testimony.

14 Lay it up therefore into your hearts, not to meditate before how you shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to resist and gainsay.

16 And you shall be betrayed by your parents and brethren, and kinsmen and friends; and some of you they will put to death.

17 And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake.

18 But a hair of your head shall not perish.

19 In your patience you shall possess your souls.

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रकाशना 15:1-4

1) मैंने स्वर्ग में एक और महान् एवं आश्चर्यजनक चिन्ह देखा। सात स्वर्गदूत सात विपत्तियाँ लिये थे। ये अन्तिम विपत्तियाँ हैं, क्योंकि इनके द्वारा ईश्वर का क्रोध पूरा हो जाता है।

2) मैंने आग से मिले कुए काँच के समुद्र-सा कुछ देखा। जो लोग पशु उसकी प्रतिमा और उसके नाम की संख्या पर विजयी हुए थे, वे काँच के समुद्र पर खड़े थे। वे ईश्वर की वीणाएं लिये

3) ईश्वर के दास मूसा का गीत और मेमने का गीत गाते हुए कहते थे। "सर्वशक्तिमान् प्रभु-ईश्वर! तेरे कार्य महान् और अपूर्व हैं। राष्ष्ट्रों के राजा! तेरे मार्ग न्यायसंगत और सच्चे हैं।

4) "प्रभु! कौन तुझ पर श्रद्धा और तेरे नाम की स्तुति नहीं करेगा? क्योंकि तू ही पवित्र है। " सभी राष्ष्ट्र आ कर तेरी आराधना करेंगे, क्योंकि तेरे न्यायसंगत निर्णय प्रकट हो गये हैं।"

📙 सुसमाचार : लूकस 21:12-19

12) "यह सब घटित होने के पूर्व लोग मेरे नाम के कारण तुम पर हाथ डालेंगे, तुम पर अत्याचार करेंगे, तुम्हें सभागृहों तथा बन्दीगृहों के हवाले कर देंगे और राजाओं तथा शासकों के सामने खींच ले जायेंगे।

13) यह तुम्हारे लिए साक्ष्य देने का अवसर होगा।

14) अपने मन में निश्चय कर लो कि हम पहले से अपनी सफ़ाई की तैयारी नहीं करेंगे,

15) क्योंकि मैं तुम्हें ऐसी वाणी और बुद्धि प्रदान करूँगा, जिसका सामना अथवा खण्डन तुम्हारा कोई विरोधी नहीं कर सकेगा।

16) तुम्हारे माता-पिता, भाई, कुटुम्बी और मित्र भी तुम्हें पकड़वायेंगे। तुम में से कितनों को मार डाला जायेगा

17) और मेरे नाम के कारण सब लोग तुम से बैर करेंगे।

18) फिर भी तुम्हारे सिर का एक बाल भी बाँका नहीं होगा।

19) अपने धैर्य से तुम अपनी आत्माओं को बचा लोगे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

कल के पाठ में हमने मनन चिंतन किया कि किस प्रकार हमे शैतान की बहकाने वाले कार्यों से बच कर रहना चाहिए और आज प्रभु हमें अत्याचार एवं अपनों द्वारा अलगाव के विषय में बताते है।

प्रभु येसु का अनुयायी बनना अर्थात् क्रूस उठाकर उनके पीछे हो लेना हैं। प्रभु येसु के पीछे होने का मतलब यह कतई नहीं हैं कि हमारे जीवन में दुःख-तखलीफ, संकट नहीं आयेंगी परंतु इसका मतलब यह है कि दुःख-तकलीफ और संकट हमें कभी टूटनें नहीं देंगी या हमारे जीवन में प्रभु के आनंद को समाप्त होने देंगी।

प्रभु के पथ पर चलने पर हमें हर प्रकार के अत्याचार और दुव्यवहार का सामना करना पड़ेगा। जिस प्रकार योहन 15ः20-21 में लिखा है, ‘‘मैने तुम से जो बात कही, उसे याद रखो- सेवक अपने स्वामि से बड़ा नहीं होता। यदि उन्होंने मुझे सताया, तो वे तुम्हें भी सतायेंगे। यदि उन्होंने मेरी शिक्षा का पालन किया तो वे तुम्हारी शिक्षा का भी पालन करेंगे। वे यह सब मेरे नाम के कारण तुम लोगो के साथ करेंगे क्योंकि जिसने मुझे भेजा, उसे वे नहीं जानते।’’

येसु के नाम पर अत्याचार की व्यथा आज की नहीं परंतु प्रारम्भिक कलीसिया के समय से ही है। कई विश्वासियों ने प्रभु के लिए अपने प्राण तक न्योछावर कर दिये। अत्याचार आने पर हमारे जीवन में क्या होता? सबसे पहले ता एक हड़कंप सा मच जाता हैं, फिर पीड़ा होती हैं दुःख लगता हैं और अंत में हम उस अत्याचार के खिलाफ आवाज़ उठाते है। अत्याचार भले ही हमारे लिए एक नकारात्मक क्रिया हो परंतु आज के सुसमाचार द्वारा हमें पता चलता है कि अत्याचार हमारे लिए एक सुनहरा और सुंदर अवसर हैं। एक अवसर जहॉं पर हम प्रभु का साक्ष्य दे सकते है। यह अवसर सभी के पास आता है परंतु केवल सच्चे विश्वासी ही इस अवसर का लाभ उठाते हैं। जिस प्रकार ग्राहम स्टेन की पत्नी ने उनके पति और बच्चो के हत्यारों को क्षमा देकर ईश्वर की क्षमा का साक्ष्य दिया। संत मदर तेरेसा ने अपने हाथ में थूक मिलने के बावजूद अपने गरीब और लाचार लोगों के लिए हाथ बढ़ाते हुए प्रभु ईश्वर के प्रेम का साक्ष्य दिया। इस प्रकार बाईबिल तथा इस जीवन में कई उदाहरण है जहॉं पर अत्याचार और अपमान की स्थिति में संत भरा जीवन जीने वाले लोगों ने ईश्वर के लिए साक्ष्य दिया।

जिस प्रकार सोने की परख आग में ही होती है उसी प्रकार अत्याचार और अपनों द्वारा अलगाव के समय ही सच्चे विश्वासियों का पता चलता है। आईये हम सब अत्याचार के समय धैर्य पूर्वक ईश्वर में बने रहकर प्रभु येसु ख्रीस्त के सच्चे विश्वासी और सच्चे अनुयायी होने का साक्ष्य दे। आमेन!

📚 REFLECTION

Yesterday we reflected on not to be deceived by the works of Evil and today Jesus tells about the persecution and segregation by our own.

To be disciples of Jesus means to take up the cross and follow him. Following him does not mean that there will be no troubles, problems or sorrows in our lives but it means that we will never be broken of those troubles, problems and sorrows or we will never lose the joy of the Lord amidst those problems.

We have to face all types of persecution and misbehavior while following the Lord’s way. As it is written in Jn 15-20-21, “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘Servants are not greater than their master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.”

The pain of persecution in the name of Jesus is not the matter of today only but it is from the early church. Many believers sacrificed their lives for Jesus. What happens when persecution comes? First and foremost there will be a lot of chaos, then pain, sorrow and at last we may raise our voices against the persecution. Though persecution seems to be a negative one for us, but today’s gospel tells us that persecution is a wonderful and beautiful opportunity; an opportunity to be witness to Lord Jesus. This opportunity comes to everyone but only the true believers cultivate maximum out of it. Like Graham Stein’s wife who witnessed the forgiveness of Jesus by forgiving them who killed her husband and children, St. Mother Teresa who witnessed the love of Christ by extending her hand for her inmates even after receiving the spat on her palm. Likewise there are many examples of saintly persons in the Bible and in this world who became witnesses of Christ even in the situation of persecution and insults.

As gold is tested in fire so also a true believer is tested in the times of persecution and segregation by their own. By patiently enduring the persecution, come let’s prove ourselves to be true believers and followers of Christ by being a true witness of Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

15 And another angel came out from the temple crying with a loud voice to him that sat upon the cloud: Thrust in thy sickle, and reap, because the hour is come to reap: for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust his sickle into the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रकाशना 14:14-19

14) मैंने देखा कि एक उजला बादल दिखाई पड़ रहा है। उस पर मानव पुत्र-जैसा कोई बैठा हुआ है। उसके सिर पर सोने का मुकुट है और हाथ में एक पैनी हंसिया।

15) एक दूसरा स्वर्गदूत मन्दिर से निकला और ऊँचे स्वर से पुकारते हुए बादल पर बैठने वाले से बोला, "अपनी हंसिया चला कर लुनिए, क्योंकि कटनी का समय आ गया है और पृथ्वी की फसल पक चुकी है"।

16) बादल पर बैठने वाले ने अपनी हंसिया चलायी और पृथ्वी की फसल कट गयी।

17) तब एक दूसरा स्वर्गदूत स्वर्ग के मन्दिर से निकला। वह भी एक पैनी हंसिया लिये था।

18) एक और स्वर्गदूत ने, जिसे अग्नि पर अधिकार था, वेदी से आ कर ऊँचे स्वर से उस स्वर्गदूत से कहा, जो पैनी हंसिया लिये था, "अपनी पैनी हंसिया चला कर पृथ्वी की दाखबारी के गुच्छे बटोर लीजिए, क्योंकि उसके अंगूर पक चुके हैं"।

19) इस पर स्वर्गदूत ने अपनी हंसिया चलायी और पृथ्वी की दाखबारी की फसल बटोर कर उसे ईश्वर के कोप-रूपी विशाल कुण्ड में डाल दिया।

📙 सुसमाचार : लूकस 21:5-11

5) कुछ लोग मन्दिर के विषय में कह रहे थे कि वह सुन्दर पत्थरों और मनौती के उपहारों से सजा है। इस पर ईसा ने कहा,

6) "वे दिन आ रहे हैं, जब जो कुछ तुम देख रहे हो, उसका एक पत्थर भी दूसरे पत्थर पर नहीं पड़ा रहेगा-सब ढा दिया जायेगा"।

7) उन्होंने ईसा से पूछा, "गुरूवर! यह कब होगा और किस चिन्ह से पता चलेगा कि यह पूरा होने को है?"

8) उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, "सावधान रहो तुम्हें कोई नहीं बहकाये; क्योंकि बहुत-से लोग मेरा नाम ले कर आयेंगे और कहेंगे, ‘मैं वही हूँ’ और ‘वह समय आ गया है’। उसके अनुयायी नहीं बनोगे।

9) जब तुम युद्धों और क्रांतियों की चर्चा सुनोगे, तो मत घबराना। पहले ऐसा हो जाना अनिवार्य है। परन्तु यही अन्त नहीं है।"

10) तब ईसा ने उन से कहा, "राष्ट्र के विरुद्ध राष्ट्र उठ खड़ा होगा और राज्य के विरुद्ध राज्य।

11) भारी भूकम्प होंगे; जहाँ-तहाँ महामारी तथा अकाल पड़ेगा। आतंकित करने वाले दृश्य दिखाई देंगे और आकाश में महान् चिन्ह प्रकट होंगे।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

ये सप्ताह पूजनविधि का अंतिम सप्ताह है और आने वाले रविवार से हम आगमन काल में प्रवेश करते हुए एक नये पूजनविधि के साल को आरंम करेंगे। इस अखिरी सप्ताह में हम अंतिम दिनों के विषय से जुड़े पाठों को जो इस संसार के अंत में होने वाली गतिविधियों पर प्रकाश डालती हैं, उनको सुनेंगे और उन पर मनन चिंतन करेंगे।

आज के सुसमाचार में हम प्रभु येसु को येरूसालेम के मंदिर में पाते है। इस संसार मंे उनका अंतिम समय करीब था। उस समय कुछ लोग मंदिर की सुंदरता और भव्यता पर मुग्द थे। परंतु प्रभु येसु ने उन्हे बताया कि वह दिन दूर नहीं जब वह मंदिर नष्ट हो जायेगा। यहुदियों के लिए वह मंदिर उनके विश्वास की आत्मा थी। उनके लिए वह मंदिर उनके प्रतिष्ठा का प्रतीक था। उन्हें लगता था कि वह मंदिर सालों साल तक बना रहेगा।

प्रभु येसु को मालूम था जब वह येरुसालेम मंदिर ढह जायेगा तो बहुत सारे लोगों के जीवन और विश्वास पर असर पड़ेगा और लोग समझने लगेंगे कि अंतिम दिन आ गया हैं; तथा उस समय कई तरीके के लोग आयेंगे और भटकाने वाली बात करेंगे। इस बात को जानते हुए प्रभु ने बताया कि जब ऐसा होगा तो किसी के बहकावें में न आना। क्योकि भटकाने और बहकाने का काम शैतान का हैं जिसे हम प्रकाश्ना ग्रंथ 12ः9 में पाते है। हमें इस संसार में हमेशा सजग रहने की आवश्यकता है तथा शैतान के हर चाल से बचने की आवश्यकता हैं क्योकि शैतान दहाड़ते हुए सिंह की तरह विचरता है और ढूॅंढ़ता रहता है कि किसे फाड़ खायें (1पेत्रुस 5ः8)। शैतान हर समय अवसर खोजता रहता है कि कब और किस प्रकार वह हमारा शिकार करें।

प्रभु येसु के आने तक हमें शैतान के कार्यो से बचकर रहने के लिए हमें ईश्वर के अस्त्र शस्त्र धारण करने की जरूरत है। जिसे संत पौलुस एफेसियों के नाम पत्र 6ः10-18 में बताते है। आईये संत पौलुस की शिक्षा अनुसार हम सब सत्य का कमरबन्द कस कर, धार्मिकता का कवच धारण कर और शांति-सुसमाचार के उत्साह के जूते पहन कर खड़े हों। साथ ही विश्वास की ढाल धारण किये रहें, इसके अतिरिक्त मुक्ति का टोप पहन लें और आत्मा की तलवार अर्थात् ईश्वर का वचन ग्रहण करें जिससे हम शैतान की धूर्तता का सामना करने में समर्थ बन जायें। आमेन!

📚 REFLECTION

This week is the last week of the liturgical year and from coming Sunday we will enter into the new liturgical year from Advent. In this last week we will read and reflect about the passages related to the end times of days.

In today’s gospel we find Jesus in the Jerusalem temple. He was nearing to the end of his earthly life. That time some people were fascinated by the beauty and magnificence of the Jerusalem Temple. But Jesus told them that the day is coming soon when the Temple will be destroyed. For Jews the temple was the soul of their faith. It was the symbol of their prestige. Their thinking was that the temple will last long for years.

Lord Jesus knew that when the Jerusalem Temple will be destroyed then it will affect the life and faith of many and many may think that the end days have come; at that time many will come to lead the people astray. Knowing this Jesus told when this will happen do not be deceived because the deceiving and leading astray is the work of the devil this we read in Revelation 12:9. We need to be alert and aware in order to protect ourselves from the works of devil because like a roaring lion our adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour (1 Pet 5:8). Devil looks for an opportunity for how and when to make us his prey.

Till the Second Coming of Lord Jesus, to protect ourselves from devil’s works we have to wear the Armor of God, about which is told by St Paul in the letter to the Ephesians 6:10-18. Based on the teaching of St. Paul Come let’s fasten the belt of truth around our waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness; put on the gospel of peace, take the shield of faith, take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Amen!

3 And they sung as it were a new canticle, before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the ancients; and no man could say the canticle, but those hundred forty-four thousand, who were purchased from the earth.

4 These are they who were not defiled with women: for they are virgins. These follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb:

5 And in their mouth there was found no lie; for they are without spot before the throne of God.

3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob.

Gospel: Luke 21: 1-4

1 And looking on, he saw the rich men cast their gifts into the treasury.

2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in two brass mites.

3 And he said: Verily I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

4 For all these have of their abundance cast into the offerings of God: but she of her want, hath cast in all the living that she had.

📚 REFLECTION

In Proverbs 15:3 we read, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” God watches everything, our every works, thoughts running in our minds, our intentions; there is nothing which is hidden from his eyes. Whether it is minor talks or minor works, his eyes is on everything. And whatever work we do and with what intention, God knows everything. Even if there are millions of people living in this world but God eyes is on each and every individual.

This we understand in today’s Gospel, where many people from rich to poor were putting their offerings in the treasury. Nobody might have noticed the poor widow but Jesus noticed the widow and her work that she put in treasury two small copper coins, for which Jesus appreciated her act because she has put in more than all of the others; others have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on. From this we come to know that our even smallest works are noticed by the Lord. Usually in this world people do work in order to show others or to get praise from others but the word of God says, “when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done is secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you” (Mt 6:3-4). We should not be discouraged even if our good work is not noticed or appreciated by anyone because the One who has to see has already seen and he will reward us.

Jesus appreciated the act of widow because out of her poverty she has put in all she had to live on. Here we have to understand the meaning of the phrase ‘put in all’ in correct and deeper sense. ‘Put in all’ does not mean that we have to give all the wealth in alms and become a beggar but it means that we have to surrender everything to God’s will, in other words to make God the owner of our wealth; to use the wealth as God wants. To use wealth not for my will, my desire or my consumption but to use them as God wants for my need and for any other purposes or needs. If God wants to help someone by giving them some amount or to use this much amount for oneself or any other thing, then doing it accordingly; this is the meaning of ‘putting in all.’

Through today’s words let’s make Jesus the owner of everything we have. Amen!

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रकाशना 14:1-5

1) मैंने फिर देखा- मेमना सियोन पर्वत पर खड़ा है। उसके साथ एक लाख चैवालीस हजार व्यक्ति हैं, जिनके माथे पर उसका नाम और उसके पिता का नाम अंकित है।

2) मैंने तेजी से बहती हुई नदियों के निनाद और घोर मेघगर्जन की-सी आवाज स्वर्ग से आती हुई सुनी। मैं जो आवाज सुन रहा था, वह वीणा बजाने वालों की-सी आवाज थी।

3) वे सिंहासन और चार प्राणियों एवं वयोवृद्धों के सामने एक नया गीत गा रहे थे। उन एक लाख चैवालीस हजार व्यक्तियों के सिवा, जिन को पृथ्वी पर से खरीद लिया गया था, और कोई वह गीत नहीं सीख सकता था।

4) ये वे लोग हैं, जो स्त्रियों के संसर्ग से दूषित नहीं हुए हैं, ये कुँवारे हैं। जहाँ कहीं भी मेमना जाता है, ये उसके साथ चलते हैं। ईश्वर और मेमने के लिए प्रथम फल के रूप में इन्हें मनुष्यों में से खरीदा गया है।

5) इनके मुख में झूठ नहीं पाया गयाः ये अनिन्द्य हैं।

📙 सुसमाचार : लूकस 21:1-4

1) ईसा ने आँखें ऊपर उठा कर देखा कि धनी लोग ख़ज़ाने में अपना दान डाल रहे हैं।

2) उन्होंने एक कंगाल विधवा को भी दो अधेले डालते हुए देखा

3) और कहा, "मैं तुम लोगों से यह कहता हूँ-इस कंगाल विधवा ने उन सबों से अधिक डाला है।

4) उन्होंने तो अपनी समृद्धि से दान दिया, परन्तु इसने तंगी में रहते हुए भी जीविका के लिए अपने पास जो कुछ था, वह सब दे डाला।"

📚 मनन-चिंतन

सूक्ति ग्रंथ 15:3 में हम पढ़ते हैं, ‘‘प्रभु की ऑंखें सब कुछ देखती हैं। वह भले-बुरे, दोनों पर दृष्टि दौड़ाता है।’’ प्रभु हम सब को देखता है, हमारे सभी कार्यो को, हमारे मन में चल रहें विचारों को, हमारी नियत को; ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है जो प्रभु की दृष्टि से छिपी हुई है। हमारी छोटी सी छोटी बात हो या छोटा से छोटा कार्य सब पर उसकी दृष्टि बनी हुई है। और जो भी कार्य हम करते है और किस उद्देश्य से करते हैं सब ईश्वर जानता है। भले ही इस संसार में अरबों लोग हों परन्तु प्रभु की दृष्टि प्रत्येक मनुष्य पर बनी रहती है।

इसी चीज़ को हम आज के सुसमाचार में पाते है, जहॉं बहुत सारे लोग धनी से लेकर गरीब लोग मंदिर में अपना दान डाल रहें थे। किसी ने भी उस कंगाल विधवा पर नजर नहीं डाली होगी परंतु प्रभु येसु ने उस विधवा और उसके कार्य को देखा जिसने दो अधेले दान में डाला तथा उसके इस कार्य को सराहा क्योकि उस ने सबों से अधिक डाला, बाकियों ने तो अपनी समृद्धि से दान दिया, परंतु उसने तंगी में रहते हुए भी जीविका के लिए अपने पास जो कुछ था, वह सब दे डाला। इस से हमें यह बात पता चलती हैं कि हमारे छोटे से छोटे भले कार्य को भी प्रभु देखते है। अक्सर संसार में लोग दूसरो को दिखाने के लिए या दूसरों की प्रंशसा पाने के लिए अच्छे कार्य करते हैं परंतु प्रभु का वचन कहता हैं, ‘‘जब तुम दान देते हो, तो तुम्हारा बायॉं हाथ यह न जानने पाये कि तुम्हारा दायॉं हाथ क्या कर रहा है। तुम्हारा दान गुप्त रहे और तुम्हारा पिता, जो सब कुछ देखता है, तुम्हे पुरस्कार देगा।’’ (मत्ती 6ः3-4) जब हम भले कार्य करते हैं और अगर संसार उसको नहीं देखता या उनकी प्रंशसा नहीं करता तो हमें निराश नहीं होना चाहिए क्योकि जिस पिता कोे देखना था उसने तो देख लिया और वह हमें पुरस्कार देगा।

येसु ने उस विधवा के कार्य को इसलिए सराहा क्योंकि उसने तंगी में रहते हुए भी जीविका के लिए अपने पास जो कुछ था, वह सब दे डाला। यहॉं पर हमें ‘सब दे डालना’ का मतलब सही तरीके से या गहराई से समझने की आवश्यकता है, इसका मतलब यह कतई नहीं है कि हमें अपना सारा धन दान में देकर कंगाल बन जाना हैं, परंतु इसका मतलब यह है कि हमारा सब कुछ प्रभु की इच्छा को समर्पित होना चाहिए अर्थात् प्रभु को सब धन सम्पत्ति का मालिक बनाना। धन का उपयोग प्रभु जैसा चाहते है उस प्रकार करना। धन का उपयोग मेरी ईच्छा, मेरी अभिलाषा या मेरे उपभोग के लिए नहीं परंतु प्रभु जैसा चाहते है चाहे वह मेरी जरूरत के लिए हो या दूसरे कार्य के लिए उसके अनुसार ही उस धन का उपयोग करना। अगर प्रभु चाहता है कि किसी को कुछ रूपये द्वारा मदद करना या इतना रूपये दान देना या इतना रूपये अपने लिए खर्च करना या और कुछ भी तो उसी अनुसार उस धन का उपयोग करना ही ‘प्रभु को सब डालना’ का मतलब है।

आईये आज के वचनों द्वारा हम प्रभु को अपने सब चीज़ो का स्वामि बनाये। आमेन!

📚 REFLECTION

In Proverbs 15:3 we read, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” God watches everything, our every works, thoughts running in our minds, our intentions; there is nothing which is hidden from his eyes. Whether it is minor talks or minor works, his eyes is on everything. And whatever work we do and with what intention, God knows everything. Even if there are millions of people living in this world but God eyes is on each and every individual.

This we understand in today’s Gospel, where many people from rich to poor were putting their offerings in the treasury. Nobody might have noticed the poor widow but Jesus noticed the widow and her work that she put in treasury two small copper coins, for which Jesus appreciated her act because she has put in more than all of the others; others have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on. From this we come to know that our even smallest works are noticed by the Lord. Usually in this world people do work in order to show others or to get praise from others but the word of God says, “when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done is secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you” (Mt 6:3-4). We should not be discouraged even if our good work is not noticed or appreciated by anyone because the One who has to see has already seen and he will reward us.

Jesus appreciated the act of widow because out of her poverty she has put in all she had to live on. Here we have to understand the meaning of the phrase ‘put in all’ in correct and deeper sense. ‘Put in all’ does not mean that we have to give all the wealth in alms and become a beggar but it means that we have to surrender everything to God’s will, in other words to make God the owner of our wealth; to use the wealth as God wants. To use wealth not for my will, my desire or my consumption but to use them as God wants for my need and for any other purposes or needs. If God wants to help someone by giving them some amount or to use this much amount for oneself or any other thing, then doing it accordingly; this is the meaning of ‘putting in all.’

Through today’s words let’s make Jesus the owner of everything we have. Amen!
